I've never been given a default pick on Yahoo, it just eliminates me when I invariably forget to submit. I assume that will happen again this year.

draft is at 8 pm tonight. He is in A League so commish is digables. Would be his call on letting someone in, letting him autodraft, or promoting a B leaguer and letting lol b league fill his spot.

my condolences dnh, I hope everything goes alright

regarding dnh's replacement, are we taking someone new like Wooderson and just automatically giving them a spot in A league or are we bumping someone up and putting the replacement in C League.

imo, we should bump the B leaguer who finished 4th last year into A League, bump the highest FACK post count member of C League to B League and insert dnh's replacement (wooderson?) into C League

or we could just simply have dnh auto draft

thoughts?

Dude in my local league quit DURING the draft last night, he has an awesome team that no one can do anything with at this point. It shows his team but it's not "there" somehow. Commish contacted Yahoo but IDK what they can do other than have the league redraft

yahoo has been having problems this week with drafts, fwiw. Everyone should use the Classic Draft Tool. The new draft tool has been known to cause crashes like ashington described and even assign completely random teams to some people post draft. Basically it is mayhem when it happens.

If you get booted from the draft you should post here ASAP so the commish can pause it while you try to get back (booted by yahoo not just having internet problems).

if we go with the promote a B leaguer option, teejay is going to A league by virtue of finishing 4th in B league last year and wiper is going to B league by virtue of having the highest FACK post count among the C leaguers

How does auto drafting in an auction league work exactly? He gets what is left after everyone else picks? How does a computer know how much to bid?

If you do 2 you have to promote a C leaguer and find a replacement still (unless you just give a B leaguer two teams). That's gonna suck.

NFL uses 100 words to say 4 and makes ****ty WW games, take a guess.

The AI makes bids based on APV with some randomness thrown in.

Yahoo has a default value. It will bid on some of those guys up to the default values (or preranked values).

I'm about to crack open the first beer to celebrate FACKBALL DAY. I did a mock just to be sure I'd have a grasp on the software and wouldn't be slowing anyone down. All I can say is lol@not doing every draft ever in auction format, it's super fun, can't wait to spew hard on some scrubs.

That sounds like it could introduce variance that wouldn't have existed, ie, you could wind up paying more for a player than he'd have otherwise gone for.
