In prior seasons, you could give Bananas credit for his strategy to make it to the end. Can't even do that this season. Just dealing with complete morons.

For annoying as Devin is, at least he would have stuck to the plan. It's amazing how stupid Dario is.

maybe im giving dario too much credit, but for him to call out cory and say he had secret alliance w/ wes is smart. Since bananas hates wes, dario slides into that #3 spot behind vince.

Giving Dario any credit would be dumb. There is no chance Dario is making it to the final unless he/nicole win multiple eliminations. Bananas/Vince will bring Nate's or Devin's team with them to the finals.

I think Bananas/Sarah would honor their word with Dario/Nicole to not send them in.

It just isn't really worth much to be their #2.

if its down to final 4, and its vince/bananas and htey have to choose between nate or dario, i'd take dario to final. Nate and christina are both so lean builds that their endurance is probably solid, were dario is fat. also nicole is definitely the worse of the girls.

regardless I think nate/christina are going home. next week.

agreed, as its a lock bananas wins that final. So your basically playing for 2nd against a team that has the strongest girl on it, and darios partner is IMO the worst.

This plus the fact they're gunning for 3rd is pathetic

I actually like Devin. He seems to have more cranial horsepower than everyone but Wes and bannans

i dont think it was necessarily that terrible of a decision. this isnt like survivor where the end just comes down to votes, at least dario/nicole would have some chance of winning a final even if theyd be significant dogs. plus they get paid more for being 2nd or 3rd right? ive only seen a couple seasons so i guess idk what their true odds in a final against bananas/sarah and vince/jenna would be, but it cant be much lower than 15-20% can it? vs a final with wes/nany and cory/ashley where theyd still be dogs, maybe 25-30%. and idk the payout structure

obviously the play sucked if you judge it solely by the odds of bananas winning. but it basically locks that dario/nicole never get tossed in the jungle which is valuable. its possible that the move was +ev for them

yeah unless they finish last they shouldn't go into a jungle until the final 1

their chances are probably lower than 15-20% vs the big 2 teams though....maybe 5-10%ish and that might be generous depending on what the final is.

Tough for us to say, there will be twists.

Bananas/Sarah deserve some credit for dodging this bullet. There aren't many challengers that could have talked their away out of getting voted in when in their position.

in a vacuum the play is fine. no chance at all bannans or vince lose that elimination and he gave himself better odds to coast to the final I think.

The point is that 3rd place really isn't that much better than not making the final. It's 25k so 12.5 each.

And if you somehow got rid of Bananas then anyone could win. And Bananas isn't going to bother to want to throw you in anyway. He is going to go after Cory and Wes now.

yeah I don't even know what that team could beat Bananas and Sarah in. It feels like they would lose in any type of game. Vince/Jenna picking the skull and it being something speed/agility or puzzle based would've been better.

i think wes had a point with regard to momentum. like obviously bananas would wash nate but it gets the ball rolling.

Honestly would rather lock up 12k than run vs Nany&Wes if Nicole was on my team

I dont think Vince has stamina, quickness, agility, or intelligence so there are a variety of games where Nate would be favored over him so long as strength isn't a main factor and is absolute and not relative (ie. him vs. Vince). Bananas is stronger than Nate in all of those things. Likewise, Sarah would be better than Christina in all of those things except maybe agility and quickness but it wouldn't be significant. Jenna would crush Christina in all but intelligence, but even then its close. Best strategy was to throw Vince in for sure.

You could argue that Bananas being in is worse than someone like Devin or Cheyenne from an EV perspective because I think you'd prefer Nate and Christina to be around later and they could beat some of the other weak teams or even some strong ones with a lucky event draw in an elimination, but they have absolutely no edges against Bananas and Sarah on anything.

Not voting someone in because they're going come back and then it'll be 2v4 is not great. They should be worried about win equity which is essentially 0 either way but continuing to throw them in if they win ups your equity

They should also be well aware that Nate or Devin are pretty much making the finals if bananas/Vince get there.

And Vince could have very well gone in. Vince is a world class moron and isn't that great so while they still prob win they have a small chance of going home.

The fear of not creating waves and therefore keeping bannans/Vince to the final because of it is terrible. It's also the reason they should have started this a lot earlier.

Pretty sure Teej was convinced Bananas and Vince were going in, he couldn't help himself on setting up Dario with that question afterwards
