Exactly. I don't think any of us know how well Mayweather can take significant punishment because it has rarely, if ever happened. And there is no doubt that he will take it from Pac-man.

Um, why? If you're going to say Mayweather has never fought anyone like Pacquiao, you have to turn it around and say the same thing for Manny. How's he going to deal with someone who is bigger, just as quick, and with more defensive skill than anyone else he's ever fought?

Funny how you start off with LOL@responses... then you go and state a definite fact like you can see into the future.

lol at you for even wasting a second posting at a forum when you can play poker and predict all the cards.. or bet maximum at 5 diff bookies on all boxing fights there are.

Your apparent love for Manny has blinded you. I have stated before, I am a PacMan fan...but Floyd is too big for him, and Manny will get worn down in the later rounds.

My apparent love for manny? where the hell are you getting this from. You can't even make basic reads.. Seriously doubt your "expertise" or you being a poker pro ...

I haven't said im a pacquiao fan.. You seem like a guy who makes wrong bets frequently yet is always sure of the next one.

Then I assume you've got a large majority of your BR on PBF already, given that nearly all of the oddsmakers see it as a very close fight. The biggest line I've heard of is PBF -155. Obviously you are just too smart for everyone here, and way smarter than all of the bookies in Vegas combined, so let us know how it works out for you having so much of your BR on floyd, since he's a 99% or whatever according to you.

re: SE Boxing Thread (still waiting for PBF v. Pac)

I actually extremely rarely bet on sports, and when I do, it's soccer. And I do think a lot of the responses in this thread were loltastic when I hear "Manny is stronger than Floyd" and Cotto couldn't hurt PacMan....even in rounds 3-4 when Cotto was knocked down, Manny still looked shocked a few times. He was struggling until Round 5, then he dominated the fight.

I'm not sure why you singled my post out of all the other posts in this thread. It's just my opinion, and I never claimed to be a boxing expert, that Manny comes out firing, hits Floyd flush a few times in the early rounds, but Floyd's defense overwhelms Manny and he starts to gas out in the later rounds to lose to Floyd. I think Floyd's counter ability in the later rounds will put Manny to the mat.

Edit: I haven't even bet this fight. I am going to wait till the fight most likely when all the Filipinos come into town and hammer Manny and drive the line down. And it won't be a big bet, just a few hundred. I don't make a living betting. Just my opinion on the fight, not sure where the random hate is coming from guys.

Manny was never shocked or stunned or on the verge of being knocked down vs cotto. That's what shocked/impressed me most of that fight. Cotto threw some bombs early and headsnapping punches, but Pacquiao reacted far better than I expected to them.

However, Floyd will be hitting Cotto in a different way than Cotto did which could change how Pacquiao reacts to the punches. Floyd will be throwing counters which Pacquiao can't see (what you can't see hurts you much more)...Also, I think because of the significance of this fight, Floyd will let his hands go (despite them being brittle) when need be in order to take care of business.

It's all on Floyd though. If he is willing to exchange, this could be an all time great fight (action-wise) nevertheless legacy/financial wise.

re: SE Boxing Thread (still waiting for PBF v. Pac)

The hate is coming from you dismissing people who clearly know more about boxing than you do. You don't bet combat sports seriously, as you've admitted. Several of us do. Coming into a thread and laughing at posters while spouting "lol Floyd easy game not even close" is going to get you hate. Clearly it's not a "not even close" fight. If it were the lines would reflect that.

There's too many unknowns for basically anyone, even the sharpest sharps, to have a really clear idea. PBF has never fought someone with the skill and offensive volume of Pac. Pac has never seen the kind of defensive ability PBF has. Neither has ever seen a fighter as fast as they both are. And on and on. There are enough unknowns that any post about 'this is a sure thing' is going to be hated on, especially when you were kind of insulting when you did it as well.

It's what makes this fight so intriguing. Neither guy has faced someone this good.

But Pacquiao's passed tests vs. bigger and stronger fighters over the last 2 years and I don't think it's even up for debate that the quality of Pac's recent opponents trumps Mayweather's recent opponents.

I think it's debatable actually.

But it's how emphatically Manny has beaten his opponents that has been most impressive.

Ok, I believe I did come off a bit arrogant with my bias towards Floyd, but I will still LOL if you think Manny is stronger than Floyd, which a few posters have said.
Can't wait for this fight to go down.

lol do you not get it? I don't care if someone has a different opinion....but it is FACT that Floyd is stronger than Manny.
I have said before I like Manny, he is explosive and brings such an amazing crowd vibe to fights. I don't care if people think Manny will win...I just said I will LOL at people who think ( and believe ) that he is stronger than Floyd.

According to this fight is almost a done deal, scheduled for March 13.

Cowboys stadium in Dallas getting an inspection, so I would place that venue as the most likely site, along with its appeal factor, size, and zero state tax.

March 13th? Wow. That is early.

Just perfect though...right before my courseload gets ridiculously heavy before exams. Ship it.

Can't believe the negotiations have gone this quickly and apparently this smoothly either.
