I'm pretty relieved the judges let the right guy win..Tough night for KP.Not sure where he goes from here.I dont know if he just cant handle guys with good lateral movement or if he's just never been taught.Either way big-ups to SM,respect

On paper Khanv PM may look like somewhat of a mismatch, but after all thats why they fight the fights.I see Khan winning by stoppage but PM is in no way without a chance(IMO)As for Ortiz v Campbell, the interesting thing about this fight(for me)is the first time we saw Ortiz really tested,he quit.Campbell is a pressure fighter who makes you sacrifice to earn the W we dont know if Ortiz is willing to make that....

I think Pavlik can't handle having so much life sucked out of him making weight at 160 when he walks around at 180 or more. He very intelligently had Martinez figured out and dominated him in the middle rounds but gassed out in the later rounds - although the big Martinez punch opening up his right eye and maybe blinding him probably took a lot out of him too. But his eye didn't stop him from throwing. He was just too gassed in the later rounds to throw.

They should do the rematch ala Pavlik's rematch clause imo. If Pavlik can train to make weight more easily, go into the fight with a full tank of gas, and avoid getting blinded he could easily win the rematch. Otherwise, Pavlik moves up to super-middleweight where it's doubtful he can star - although you never know.

Edwin Valero is the craziest. No way the US will ever give him a visa again no matter what happens in this case.

That's a good point,KP prob has to go through hell to make 60,read somewhere they had to cut all liquids for 24 hrs and still spend 2 hrs in the sauna...pretty close to hell.Dont see much out there besides the re with Martinez, every name at 68 besides Bute is tied up,and KP needs another slick southpaw like he needs a hole in the head.Hope he can figure it all out, such an easy kid to root for

I think you are overestimating this cut. There are tons of people that cut more weight than Pavlik in boxing and MMA. Pavlik didn't look much better at 170 in the Hopkins fight although he had a lot more excuses after that one. Maybe Pavlik was just a hypetrain to begin with as the only "good" fighter he ever beat was JT. When your second biggest win is Gary Lockett or Edison Miranda well that's not a sign of a good career.

I wish they would do something to eliminate this kind of dangerous nonsense so that boxers are forced to box in the division of their real boxing weight. For example, weigh them every day for two weeks before the fight and apply some min-max-averaging formula. Maybe Mayweather can insist on those conditions for his future fights and do some more revamping of the sport via contract.

I would agree that it's not the sign of a great fighter..but not a good carer???The kid was the lineal MW champ of the world, put a few mil in the bank,if that doesnt qualify as a good career, what does??

What a ****ing waste of huge talent... The stage was set for him to be a mega superstar in the boxing world and he ****ed it all up. The real great tragedy is the death of his wife. Now his children is going to grow up without parents... It's so sad and tragic.

Doesn't bring back the wife or help the kids though. But I know what you mean.

Trying to compare his death and his wife's is asinine. One is brutally murdered, the other bitches out of the consequences of his actions. One is a tragedy. One is a spineless bitch.

He can't rectify his mistakes, but he can avoid taking the most pussy way out.

lol @ u and your e-threats. Its patently ridiculous to suggest that someone who murders their wife and then runs away from their problem in the only way possible is anything other than a pussy.

It takes a man (or woman) to face their problems. It takes a bitch to run away from them. Its the mark of a pussy and action done purely out of selfishness.
