Now that ESPN has shown the play from multiple angles, that catch was not a gimme. Brady threw the ball behind Welker. Welker's momentum was going toward and he was turning backwards. Not an easy catch. In Brady's defense, he was running for his life. Wasn't able to set his feet properly to throw a perfectly timed pass.

First of all, Patriots sitting in Cover-2 for as long as they did and then allowing Manningham with a free outside release on that play is one of the most ridiculous and absurd things I have seen in an NFL game.

Giants deciding to go 3 deep invert against Brady is almost as stupid. Giants CB ****s himself and bites on the WR route and lets Welker behind him. Difference between the two plays is that Manning made the throw, Brady almost made the throw.

Justin Tuck was now "robbed" of two SuperBowl MVPs. I'm not upset over Eli getting it, I think it makes more sense this time than last time. But Justin Tuck played the single best game out of anyone on either side of the ball. Outside leverage rushes, inside rushes, in on rush plays, forced Brady to move around in the Pocket, ect. Honestly, his game was absurd. I can't wait to rewatch it. Outside of the QB position if I had to select one player to play in a game for me in the Super Bowl, Justin Tuck is right at the top. 4(5) sacks in two superbowls, number of pressures, and just overall making his opponent look silly.

Sebastian Vollmer played maybe the worst game. This has a lot to do with having some amazing guys lined up across from him but holy ****. Come on man. I'm pretty sure I heard people on this forum call you a top 3 or 4 LT in the NFL. Ouch.

Giants desperately need William Beatty next season. Hey David Diehl. Good try man. You did what the Giants needed but Beatty is a necessity for Eli and the Giants. Diehl should be inside and the Giants need to find a RT and use McKenzie as a 6th player.

Gronkowski, get off the ****ing field. That was embarrassing. No moves off the line, looked slow on routes, and failed at being the trail man on the Hail Mary. Seriously, get off the field. That was pure awful. Giants didn't even fall for him being a decoy. Probably because they have eyes and had someone watch pregame.

I will never again watch a superbowl with anyone. I will watch it by myself so that I can enjoy it the way I enjoy watching football...sitting down analyzing it for no good reason.

Brian Baker was incredibly awesome at the clinic I attended. Demarcus Ware is a monster beyond understanding and my respect for Ware went up two fold. Cowboys got a good DL coach there, wish him the best going forward.

also i know that play happened on 2nd down, which makes it less bad than if it happened on 3rd down, but it still drastically reduced the pats chances of winning the game

it was a pretty bad throw, should have been picked and was tipped on its way there. plus it was at the highest point welker could reasonably make a catch on and he had to like 180 backwards to do it. he's pretty darn short.

i really think people hating on welker and not brady (looking at you, mrs. brady) are really off base.
