Heh, yeah that does help!

Anyway here is the graph of the Giants odds on winning the Superbowl during the whole season. Betfair;

Re: SB XLVI New England Patriots vs. New York Giants: THE G.O.A.T. vs ELITE

Quote:
In 2007, the Giants started the playoffs by beating an NFC South team. Then they beat the No. 1 seed on the road. Then they beat the No. 2 seed in the conference title game when the foe turned it over in overtime and gave the Giants a short field and the Giants won on a Lawrence Tynes overtime field goal. Then they moved on to face the Patriots in the Super Bowl.

In 2011, let's see ... NFC South team, No. 1 seed, No. 2 seed, overtime, turnover, Tynes, Patriots. Check.

One more thing:

2007: Giants lose to Washington 22-10 in Week 15.

2011: Giants lose to Washington 23-10 in Week 15.

the parallel to 2007 is scary

Funny you should mention this, I was just thinking about the posts in the team thread that DEMANDED that "Bill Belichick should be held accountable!" for putting together this team.

"There's no excuse for what Belichick is putting on the field these days...Unfortunately, there's no one to hold him accountable."

"I should clarify my stance here...someone needs to hold Belichick accountable."

He should have apologized as he accepted the Lamar Hunt Trophy.

EDIT: Wow, this is fun, going back to those Halloween posts on the heels of a two-game losing streak to PIT and NYG. SiriusXM says we can't stretch the field, all we do is dump to Welker and TE's, allowing defenses to come up and stop us; Yahoo says we can't run; EVERYBODY says we can't stop anybody; as I note ITT, all that's missing is to call Gostkowski the worst PK in the NFL because me missed a FG that week...

and with plays like this

we have Tom Brady returning to the Superbowl as:

all year it has been Godgers this and Brees that

but looking to capture the 4th of his Superbowl RANGZZZZ and put it to rest once and for all that in the realms of great NFL QBs it's always gonna be Michigan man

so here's to you #12

everyone will be watching you win your 4th ring going

no doubt the haters will be furious but at the end of the day

you got 4 RANGZZZZZ and the best to ever lace em up

the most glaring parallel is what a mega-lucksack deal with the devil Eli is. Throw more INTs that get broken up by DB on Safety crime pls.

Best part of the T-Sizzle "OMG" gif is that he never finishes the last word. It's like, "Oh my Gawwwwwwww...." The "-d" never comes.

I love people saying the Pats Defense isn't historically bad for a SB team cause they managed to not get embarrassed by the power house offenses of Denver and Baltimore.

49ers would have been optimal, but Giants are a way better matchup than Packers/Saints. All things considered, I'm pleased with it.
