Really? How was I supposed to know that franchise and others didn't think Brady was a wuss? Why would someone even be sarcastic about something like that? Really pointless, not at all funny, and really just a waste of time.

Alex Smith almost had a couple balls picked off. Tom Brady did have a couple balls picked off. Again, he threw 58 passes in the rain while getting the **** kicked out of him by the best defense in the league. Context matters. If Evans holds on to that ball we are talking about Brady and the Pats blowing it in the playoffs as a favorite again.
Oh and it's not like ELIte has never won before, I'm sure you remember that time he previously went on a Super Bowl run.
You guys are killing ELIte for almost throwing two picks when Brady did throw two picks and didn't play well at all against a worse defense, at home, and with much better circumstances for a QB to succeed.
Don't throw stones in glass houses when it comes to the what if game.

Pretty sure every post ive made about brady vs the ravens i said brady played terrible. Didnt try to sugarcoat anything. Who cares how many yards eli threw for. The fact remains that until that punt mess up by williams with 11 mins left in game they had only scored 10 pts. And getting that short field was pretty much the only reason they got the TD there.
Im not saying eli played terrible, But he got real lucky those 2 interceptions werent made, And the giants got real lucky that a punt was muffed and a punt return was fumbled. Does that make the Giants a bad team - No it definately doesnt. Just like the Patriots got lucky that sterling moore knocked that ball out off evans hands in the endzone and that cundiff missed the Field Goal.
I think someone would have to be delusional to believe that luck and good fortune didnt have a big part in the Giants win,

yeah the TD on the "short field" was basically on the 1/2 yard line and eli and the giants didn't have to do much to get it in the endzone.

You realize this and Eli Manning playing well can both independently and simultaneously exist, right? Like you can believe both, correct?

It was like 30 yards or something but for a team that struggled most of the game moving the ball into scoring position getting that field position from a mistake cannot be understated

Yeah obviously i know both can happen. But messed up plays, the 2 ints dropped, and 2 punt mistakes, now have eli being talked about as a hall of famer, rather than typical old eli.

Pretty awesome were gonna roll out another two weeks of arguing over eli after he ran the 1/2 seed gaunlet for the second time to go to the super bowl while throwing up 76/123 923 yards 8 td 1 int

I don't buy the " he could have thrown 2 INT's!" argument. How many times do you see defensive players drop easy INT's?
And once you say "If the punt returner didn't make mistakes" you are just reaching. He DID make mistakes. Is it the Giants fault he pretended that ball never bounced off his leg? You even saw his teammate pointing at the ball from 10 yards downfield. He saw it bounce off his leg.
You might as well be saying something like "Except for that grand slam, the pitcher had a no hitter!" or something silly like that. Well yea. But he DID give up that grand slam and he DID give up 4 runs.

People are just talking about how great eli was and imo san francisco were the better team, But The Giants got more than their fair share of luck and that was the difference. And i said in my post that getting that luck doesnt take away from the giants and make them a bad team.
