Yes they ****ing are unless you're being completely pedantic. The whole goal of anabolic steroids is to mimic testosterone. My understanding is that most anabolic steroids are modified testosterone to increase bioavailability.... although that's a bit beyond me.

To get really basic though, 'anabolic' refers to the metabolic pathways that make stuff. 'Steroid' is a hydrophobic hormone that acts in a cell instead of on the cell surface like other peptide hormones.

Guess what testosterone is? It's a steroid hormone that is makes stuff. FFS testosterone is an anabolic steroid.

All of my knowledge of steroids comes from the book Game of Shadows(highly reccomend if you haven't read), so I could be way off. One of the components of the test is measuring the T/E ratio(Testosterone/ Epitestosterone) which normally occurs in a 1/1 ratio. For the test to be considered positive you have to test at 6/1 or higher(manny tested positive for a fertility drug that increases your epi levels to a normal ratio). Braun tested twice as high as the next closest person. C'mon now... dude's ****ing dirty.

i don't blame brewers fans for naively believing braun's clean. a ton of giants fans still think bonds never touched a roid in his life

i'm def rooting for braun in this scenario. anything that makes the mlb look bad is a-ok by me
