Top 5 was thrown around a few times by local sports radio people when we released Jackson. Of course talking heads blow smoke out their ass all the time. My point is that he's up there, and releasing him with nothing in return was about as dumb as Jake's posts.

I heard "top 5" thrown around on 94.1 WYSP as well as 97.5 The Fanatic as well. Yes, there's a bias, being that these were Philly broadcasters we're talking about. I'm aware the article I posted references analysts that aren't from Philadelphia. I was pointing out that others have refered to DeSean Jackson as a top WR in the NFL.

I mean, the dude was 3rd in yards and 3rd in receptions, I think, when he left the Eagles so it's probably not much of a stretch to call him top 5 at the time.

McCoy averaged nearly a full yard a carry less this season than last. Obviously sanchez is vastly inferior at handing the ball off than foles or vick.

Whether or not you believe the guy is a top 5 or top 15 is your perogative. Nonetheless, you're inadvertently backing up my point that he's a top WR.

Without Jackson, the offense was much worse off during the Eagles 2014 season.
Jackson's presence on the field spreads the defense.

Jackson isn't the only guy in the NFL with something to prove, or, no pun intended, "a Chip on his shoulder," and the Eagles Organization should do a better job of managing egos. It takes all kinds. Talking about an attitude problem while heaping praise on Cooper is hypocritcal.
Freeing up cap space is a lame ******* reason.

Why is it other coaches can get above .500 with these two QB's and Kelly doesn't get close to .440? Factor in age and the fact that both Vick and Sanchez are washed up, and the track record is still inexcusable. Don't blame the players surrounding these QB's; Foles went 14 - 4 with the exact same teammates. Oh wait, Sanchez had a healthy offensive line to work with.

The whole argument that Kelly is this sports science guru/revolutionary coach who deserves the keys to the Eagles Organization is that he's a proven winner and we should just trust him. With Foles he's won. Without him, not so much. And no, I don't trust Kelly.
