Yep, Lewis definitely played the best tonight. Well deserved.

Now just for the cringeworthy interviews.

Didn't I say 29.5 was a good line? The bookies don't get it wrong often.

Sick tournament. Best player won the final, contested by the two best players in the tournament. Premier League should be tasty.

Predicted line up:

Taylor
Lewis
Barney
Whitlock
Wade
Anderson
Jenkins
Webster

I also thought Mardle was a good addition to the studio/commentary team.

Hopefully he gets back playing to his best,if he doesn't he's got a job there for sure and will eventually in any case.

John Part was a great commentator on the BDO. Wonder why he stopped? What happened to his form as well?

The SKY guys have mentioned about Part that he "needs to look in the mirror and get his act together" so I guess he must be slacking.

I remember last year they were saying he refuses to base himself in europe and that the travelling back and forth from Canada kills him,so I assume nothing has changed there either.

A couple of years ago he won his first round pre-xmas and flew back to Canada and then flew back again for his 2nd round game on the 27th.

That's brutal doing all the flying back and forth.

I think you've got to either the commitment or don't bother turning up for the tour.

Whitlock moved here permanently and look at the difference it has made to his darts.

Yep, and gg...

So anyway, Im thinking of organising a Premier League pool on this forum. I havent worked out all of the details yet, but the general gist of it would be two bets/competitions. The first would be to tip the overall order at the end of the day, for example I think it would it end.

Taylor
Lewis
Whitlock
Wade
----------
Barney
Anderson
Webster
Jenkins

Or whatever. The second would be a tipping each week based on the overall score. For example I think Whitlock will beat Jenkins 8-4. If Jenks is beaten 8-4 then I get 0 points (less points is better) for every leg I am out by I would receive one point. Not for massive stakes, probably around $20 or so winner take all but I think it would be a great way to have some fun with the Premier League over the next few weeks.

Obviously still sorting out some minor details, but overall thoughts?

----------------------------------

The match itself tailed of a bit, but did we really expect these players who wouldnt usually play this long to keep averaging 110? Overall both players probably deserved it, but on the night Lewis probably a little bit more.

Adrian Lewis

"I was more excited about hitting a nine-darter in the final than winning the title itself, but at least I can pay my tax bill now - they want £108,000!

"I will only have about £30,000 left by the time I've settled up with the taxman, but it's a big weight off my mind.

"Earlier in my career I wasn't looked after properly and I found myself with this huge bill from the Inland Revenue, but at least I can afford to pay it now.

Gonna watch a bit of the BDO.

If I haven't checked back in within an hour or so, assume I killed myself.
