Watching a random replay of a few first round BDO games on Eurosport. I want to scoop my eyes out with a spoon. The "LETS PLAY DARTS" is pretty lame, and reminds me of my old mans lawn bowls club where they would announce that they were about to draw the winner of the chook raffle...

However, the camera angle they show of the doubles is pretty cool, and about the only selling point...

The BDO is awful. The crowd make me want to kill myself. The latter stages are normally ok-ish with 2 or 3 guys who would be able to compete in the PDC comfortably should they make the switch. The early rounds are just lol. It takes them 18 darts to be on a finish etc.

the bdo is so LOL that the number 10 seed won his match with a 78 average

also nice to see that waites knocked that **** hankey out. would like to see him make a run to the semis to get a pdc card, but his quarter is actually ok

I just get the feeling that the BDO hates the PDC so much that the last thing they want to do is be seen following the PDC's innovations. They're like some stuck-in-their-ways, angry old grandad who won't move with the times.

It's just ridiculous that's a leg from the guy whose world champion.

Like the other day the leg I watch they took 24 darts and he still wasn't on a finish.

Waites already won a big event yeah? Think he'd make the switch handy. Anderson, Whitlock, Webster et al have all done it and improved a lot and competed comfortably when they made the switch.

I don't really think he's a bad guy at all. With the greatest respect, I just don't think he's that smart and doesn't have the capacity to fully think through what he's saying in interviews.

LOL @ Van Gerwen in this. I remember when he was the phenom. Had a dart to beat Taylor in rd 1 of the World Championship. Was favourite for the BDO aged 17. Why has he literally gone backwards?

I was about to say lol under, but the more I think about it that's a pretty good line, so I dunno. I guess that's a good line as long as the both continue how they've been playing but given that they're more likely to play worse than better, I'd favour the under.
