It's annoying that this is the one event where we see a bunch of fringe players that we'd otherwise only see in the worlds, but the format means that 90% of players I'd like to watch never throw a dart in singles competition, any sort of turn based pairs like this is a completely different game

Why is Chisnall going for 132 bull-bull-d16 and not t20-t20-d8? Feel like I'd rather miss at 20 rather than 25 when you're spending all your time grooving t20s anyway. Is that the standard way?

Without context going 25 allows you a T19-bull out

Televised darts needs more love. Are there any sites doing dfs for dart tourneys?

In what context other than the Premier League (which is an exhibition) could that possibly make sense?

Posted an updated live adjusted 64 rankings on FRH, now including 16. Taylor, it's a full top 100 rather than just the top 20 that I update after each ranking weekend. Hope someone was able to get on my tips over the course of Hamburg (which is well worth checking back on on twitter, VVDV/Lewis might be the most exciting game I've seen all year, plus there were at least three last dart BOOOOOOOOOOOOs - game embedded below) as I managed to run at a 50% ROI for decent investment, mostly thanks to underdog bets winning for a change

Steve Beaton just won a pro tour event to, for all intents and purposes, qualify for the Matchplay

All three Rodriguezes qualified for the Austria event starting tomorrow, which will really make updating my spreadsheet fun

Getting close to the Matchplay now, just one European Tour event next weekend and then a couple of Pro Tour events to follow the weekend after. Lineup is currently looking like the following:

Seeds (12):
van Gerwen, G Anderson, Wright, A Lewis, Chisnall, Wade, Suljovic, Taylor, van Barneveld, Klaasen, M Smith, K Huybrechts

Qualified, may still be seeds (4/7):
White, Thornton, van de Pas, Whitlock, Gurney, Price, Norris:

Qualified through Pro Tour barring crazy shenanigans (8):
Cullen, Cross, Reyes, King, Bunting, James Wilson, S West, Beaton

Still got work to do (5, current money earned in brackets, * indicates minimum cash for the last Euro event is included where they've already qualified, European players may also still qualify for this event):
K Anderson (36000*), Kist (33500), D Webster (33250), Dobey (32750), Henderson (32750*) - Pipe (31500*), Clayton (31500), R Huybrechts (31250), van der Voort (28250)

Will have a preview up for it once the draw is done

Matchplay field now confirmed, the five that made it were Anderson, Kist, Webster (who won the event on Saturday), Henderson and Pipe. The first four that were listed as seeds are seeds, so the draw will look like the following assuming all seeds win:

van Gerwen - Whitlock
Taylor - van Barneveld
Chisnall - Huybrechts
Lewis - White
Anderson - van de Pas
Suljovic - Klaasen
Wright - Thornton
Wade - Smith

Also whoever had one of the RJR's down as the next Austrian to make a ranking final lost all their money because Zoran Lerchbacher is a legend

Draw is out, have checked the analytics and Anderson looks like an amazing each way bet at 5's, have him at over 60% to win his half and 28% to bink. There's a few other long shots that I'd like to back to lay that I've got winning more often than the markt suggests, but they're in MvG's half so never realise their equity. Huybrechts maybe, I think he is in with a great shot of winning his quarter and if MvG falls to the Phil/Barney quarter final banana skin, who knows

Have started posting up the first of the Matchplay previews, and also didn't notice that the Euro Tour is in town when I'm in Dresden in September so I'll be going to the final day of that

Gurney has to be a lock for the Premier League at this stage

Have posted up 5/8ths of the first round write ups now, I should finish the remainder tomorrow

Another tournament over another MVG win...almost yawn at this point but at least Gurney gave him a run. Also crowd was fantastic at Vegas, they seemed really into it.

As far as PL goes mortal locks should be: MVG, Wade, Gary Anderson, Snakebite, Chizzy. Adrian Lewis too I guess assuming he's 100% healthy. Then Jelle should get another shot.

Past that with Gurney the more I think about it the more I think it's not crazy. Gerwyn Price, Mensur and Big Bully also should have legit shots at making it as well I would think.

Crowd seemed awesome in Vegas. Hopefully a bigger venue for next year and do it a week or two earlier while everyone is still in Vegas for WSOP.

All writeups now complete and on the site, no further bets from yesterday if that's all you were waiting on. First round bets are on van Gerwen, Gary Anderson, Reyes, White, King, Huybrechts, Webster and Smith

The LOL Wade is strong this year. Dawson still had the better celebration from last week but Webster looked like a vain just a popped.

Generally pretty LOL for all the seeds so far, only three left, of which Wright played very ordinary. Can't look past Anderson from that half, 11/8 looks huge
