funny how they went ballistic at someone not going for the bull or leaving a shot at it twice today with the other guy on a shot, but when taylor goes for 16's on 64 with two left, it's not even mentioned

Wright's been playing really well, hopefully the run this far will push him up enough that he can get some automatic qualifiers for majors without having to whore the circuit too much

Is it just me or is Taylor always giving some sly digs at Mervyn King in interviews. IIRC they had a bit of a row or something a few years ago?

Yeah they dont like each other much

I always got the feeling it was jealously on Kings part but Taylor does talk some rubbish during interviews which rubs alot of players up the wrong way. This one has just continued on.

Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship Final
8.00pm

Schedule of play subject to change at the discretion of the PDC and Sky Sports. Any changes would be notified as soon as possible at www.pdc.tv

Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship Format
Preliminary Round - Best of seven legs (no tie-break)
First Round - Best of five sets
Second Round - Best of seven sets
Third Round - Best of seven sets
Quarter-Finals - Best of nine sets
Semi-Finals - Best of 11 sets
Final - Best of 13 sets

All sets are the best of five legs.

All matches using the sets format will have a tie-break situation in the deciding set only, where the final set must be won by two clear legs until the score in that final set reaches 5-5.
Should that situation occur, then a sudden-death leg will be played in which the players will throw for the bull to determine who throws first in the sudden-death leg
Updated. My guess for the quarter finals in terms of playing order, assuming the favs win tonight would proabably be

Jenkins v Newton
Whitlock v Lewis

Barney v Anderson
Taylor v Webster

Just quietly how much has Jenkins section opened up with the elimination of Wade. I hope Suljovic gets to the semis, but I cant see it happening.

Probably the closest out of the 6... Suljovic vs Newton could be good too.

FWIW if anyone wants a penny on the Whitlock vs VDV game, I will take Whitlock -2.5 at evens. So I win if Whitlock wins 4-1 or 4-0, you win if Whitlock concedes two or more sets... for anything up to about US$25..

The only good thing about Thorntons walk on song was the Man City fans take on it, about Shinawatra having a billion dollars under the bed...

SHINAWATRA!1!!1!!

with that performances so far, I now highly doubt that Taylor takes number 16. Anderson/Lewis/Whitlock all seem stronger.

QFT...

Amazing that we could have 3 epic quarters in Lewis vs Whitlock, Taylor vs WEBSTTTAAAAHHHHHH, Barney vs Anderson....

And then Newton vs Jenkins... urgh... I really want Suljovic to win that section, at least he is somewhat likeable, the guy that seems to struggle with english

Spoiler:
just like Whitlock lol...

Wanted Pieman to win that one to set up a close match - think Anderson will just move away now. Don't expect him to go off the boil this time.
