3rd and 5th is a haul imo, i do think tebow is terrible though.

they probably get better than that though. man elway must be thrilled to have the tebow issue take care of itself.

By trading for Tebow:

-Jacksonville can sell out their stadium every home game
-Tebow has a very strong fan base there b/c he played at Florida in college
-Tebow would create a sick buzz and pick up a lot of casual fans across the nation
-New ownership would be happy to put their team on the map and be in more NFL conversations

Jacksonville would stand to make a good amount of money with Tim Tebow on their roster. Any type of success would also be amplified, as we've seen already with the unofficial ESPN Tebow hour every day last season.

I'd say the Broncos could get at least a 1st for Tebow from the Jags.

I hope he goes to Denver and breaks up Tebow time. I think he'll struggle if he goes there. Denver doesn't have the offensive make up for Manning at all. WR core isn't right for Manning. They aren't excellent route runners that Manning is accustomed to in Indy in a domed environment where everything is precise. Would have to let him play call with a new O-coordinator. In addition to Peyton not being a cold weather qb in Mile High where games get ugly with field conditions and just overall weather conditions. It isn't their style of play at all, and I don't think Denver would be conducive to how much Manning likes to throw. Manning would essentially be trying to change a run first team into a pass heavy team (in addition to overcoming any personal challenges). It would change their team chemistry and ousting Tebow at the same time. It is going to be a media circus especially if Tebow stays, and maybe some fan unrest if Manning does anything wrong. I don't see it being a successful experience. Just don't.

The AFC west is no joke either. Nobody is a pushover in that division. If you think that your just wrong.

If he wants to stay in the AFC he should go to Miami or Houston.

High altitude and thin air can't be good for Mannings new stem cells to grow. Death on the field, bad for the sport.

Denver has the cap room to do whatever Manning wants and its not really close (I think they have 30M+). Cardinals have some cap room, a ton of which could be alleviated by letting go of Levi Brown who has a lol wtf 18M cap number for 2012.

But then comes the issue of talent. Denver has Ryan Clady at LT, while Arizona doesn't seem to have even 1 competent OL (in pass protection at least). Denver has 2 dynamic edge rushers and Champ Bailey, and altho the Cardinals have a similar amount of solid players, the distribution of talent by position certainly favors the Broncos. Arizona also needs to get rid of Kevin Kolb

Jax absolutely might give up a 1st from the way Shahid Khan talks about him. If he's smart, he will realize that no other team in the league would give that up, and theres no reason to get in a bidding war against himself

Jax would sell a ton of seats for the 8 games that Tebow starts, and then would be under crushing pressure to get a new QB - or keep losing games - after Tebow Tebows it up.

Tebow is probably the only starting QB who would accept losing their spot to Manning without instantly demanding a trade. As someone else said, wouldn't Tebow maturing two years as Manning's padawan be a good thing for him? Tebow with all his other skills and intangibles developing a throwing arm would be a very funky sight.

Tebow would be fine with being a backup in Denver because if it happened it would be gods' will so he has no choice but to be ok with it. I doubt Tebow would get even a handful of plays a game other than sneak situations just because Peyton is too good to sit down/Peyton isn't the type of guy who'd be ok with sitting for a series just because. That said Jacksonville probably would make it worth Denvers while, and it would be a lot of fun to see the awkwardness between "yay Tebow, he's the best! Everything's ok now!" and "oh..."

To get some "now" piece to go with Peyton. Highish pick or picks to trade for some player etc. would be good.

ESPN has been saying this morning that if Peyton agrees to sign with Denver, that Denver would (definitely) be looking to trade Tebow right away.

all that matters is that 1 team (jags ldo) really really wants him. I think they would give up a 2013 1st for sure.
I have been on record saying Tebow is a lolbad passer but I still think JAX should snapship a 2013 first rounder even if they know it'll be a top 6ish one. (obviously it's smarter to offer way less because it's likely there won't be any counteraction but if that's what they'd pay I don't think it would be lolbad)
New owner, lolnotsoldout stadium...bring in Tebow to get some exitement for the Jags going, I'd even root for Tebow led JAX because why not?

Seems the best way to go. Sending Tebow back to the bench while the offense redevelops around Peyton won't do him any good. That and Peyton is known for not giving backups any first-team reps in practice... I don't see him caring at all about helping Tebow, esp at this point in his career. Let him go to JAX or somewhere else where he can improve or flame out.

Gotta give it to Bowlen/Elway/Fox if Peyton comes here. Line was like 3% in the beginning. Everything out of Dove Valley is saying how happy Peyton was with the entire visit and the staff.

I've been so happy with the post-McDaniels era decisions.

ITT previously, but how good Peyton actually is as a mentor is debatable.

Not entirely true.

See This game, where he went for it on 4th and 1 in a tie game at midfield with 30 seconds left.

How humble of Peyton to be willing to convert to WR just so he can play with Tebow

All of this assumes new ownership actually wants to keep the team in Jacksonville, which is not a sure thing.

If your goal is to move to LA, the last thing you want is a brief period of hype based sellouts.

I know I should probably just google this but in the interest of furthering discussion here: Why would Jax trade for Tebow at all? They could have taken him if they'd wanted him the year he went pro. Tebow's pretty much the QB everyone not named Josh McDaniel expected him to be in the NFL. I don't get the Tebow to Jax talk. I mean, it makes sense from the standpoint of putting fannies into the seats in Jax (which is notoriously difficult to do even when jax has a decent team) but it seems silly for them to trade for Tebow imo.

If the Jax trade did happen, I see it backfiring on Denver. Peyton would be the Ryan Leaf of this choice while Tebow would go on to be....wait a minute.

The main reason I want Peyton is it gives an easy out to the Tebow situation. Even if Peyton gets hurt and is out 3 games into the season it is a net positive.
