The NFL announced the suspension of 3 Broncos players for failed steroid tests. The players failed the tests in December but this was made publis the day Manning was in Denver. I get the feeling the NFL will do everything it can to keep its biggest attraction Tebow off the bench. Manning playing and Tebow on the bench would be a ratings nightmare for the NFL.

Yeah don't see how Arizona isn't #1. Cake division, Fitz? I mean come on.

Just a bunch of grown men completely freaking out like schoolgirls. The Montana precedent is the only thing that gives me hope.

Peyton chose to visit Miami last because his decision is already made. He wants to tour around the country and build up a little suspense/cover all angles.

cake division?

SF is legit
SEA is a decent team
StL could be really good as early as 2013.

zona+manning is probably still a dog to SF to win the division in 2012. the OL is horrific.

as a patriots fan i *really* hope he goes there. i would see it has a net loss over the next 1-3 seasons for the texans, who are a team i see as NE's chief competition for lamar hunt trophies over the next 3 years.

Would be kinda scandalous, if Goodell and the networks could ever be tied to something like this.

When you say "cake division," do you remember that reigning NFCW champs were the favorites in the NFC Championship game and was a muffed punt away from a Super Bowl?

SF will suffer the same hangover other losers of the NFC champ. suffered.
Sea is NOT decent! No QB and the WR corp is injury prone.
St. Louis could be good in 2-3 years BUT Manning will be retired by then.

I say cake division due to past regular seasons as a whole. i am a cardinals fan and I say our division sucks. One decent season by the 49ers does not change that. Seahawks aren't going to get over the hump and the Rams have issues. I'm sorry but if I'm peyton playing the seahawks and rams twice? EZ two wins. Peyton would actually be able to find other WRs if fitz is covered.

I'm pretty sure this is correct. It's getting pretty pathetic down here and we need to fill some seats. Marino's going to help with this too.

It was always Miami as option A and then AZ as a distant option B.

Den just threw themselves into the mix with the massive full court press.

The dude lives in Miami...and won't have to take a paycut to play there.

AFC East is going to be sick division next year if Peyton is healthy and fully recovered, which doesn't seem like a given to me

If I were Peyton, #1 by a massive margin is SF. They've got all the parts. They were a 13-3 team without Peyton. I don't know about their cap situation and if they can afford him, but SF is, without a doubt, his best chance to win a couple of SBs in the next few years.

Probably, but they aren't going after him, plus the pressure to perform would be immense. In Miami half the posters in this thread still think they wouldn't be above the 3rd or 4th favourites in the AFC, so there would be considerably less pressure. A lot of articles I read also think the Cardinals, Seahawks and Chiefs are better teams/ have fewer holes than Miami.

You seem to forget how bad Peyton's O-Lines were in Indy.

zona+healthy manning is a fav to win NFC-W next year imo.

They split the series with SF last year and went 6-2 in the last 8.

we already know they did it. this is the national football league, things rarely happen accidentally, and almost never at the league level. at the very least goddell and pat bowlen knew. there are a lot of "fervent" (read, choose your own perjorative) christians in colorado and there's a history of tying sports to religion. now that I think about it's probably the 2nd-most profitable place for tebow to be.

hopefully the nflpa and the media won't drop the ball on this one.
