God damn... as a PSU grad the administration just continues to be totally embarrassing. I even went to high school in this town. The vast majority of the students/faculty/residents here are good people who understand the big picture and want to learn from the past and move on ... its an extremely wealthy and influential oligarchy of old men who continue to control the business / commerce of the city who are behind this whole "409 JoePa 4 lyfe" movement which the university has been forced to pander to. I even worked for one of these men as an undergrad. His name is Bob Poole. He was the chairman of the board of directors of the second mile and was never charged with anything and continues to live an extravagant lifestyle and act like a total prick to everyone he encounters.

There are plenty of rural folk in central PA who worship Paterno too, but they're also almost exclusively Trump supporters.... and probably didn't even go to college... so yeah.

I want very badly to help pay for the banner and to cause that banner to fly high and proud, but I also want very little to get sued by the Paterno family and their endless rape-enabler profiteering riches.

I think only the pilot would really have issues, just because I hope it is illegal to without approval fly an airplane over a stadium filled with 100k+ ppl at low altitude.

The chiefsplanet dudes put their money together and flew banner saying "Save Our Chiefs" to fly over the stadium during the darkest Scott Pioli/Matt Cassel days. Clark Hunt definitely noticed and it actually became a big deal.
