COG, you're a good dude, but it's not so much against slack but more against the idea of taking away from 2p2 and more specifically, SE.

People can try to act like it's all fun and games, but I've spent about 10 years here (and most of you have, if not more!)...and that's a big chunk of my life! The person I was when I started posting here is a very different person now. Not all of that is a function of my participation in SE, but I think a good chunk of it is, including my newly acquired beer belly

To my previous point -- I'm all for banning posters, but why does the tolerance line keep getting lower and lower by the year, when it should be going the opposite direction? Furthermore, I understand that nothing bonds people more than having (or creating) a mutual enemy; but that isn't going to result in a better SE. And that's why I think this specific thread is toxic.

Who actually wants a better SE? What is a better SE? What would ACTUALLY make SE better? (assuming that's what we all want)

yup. lebron proved himself to be the best big game player of all time. the most clutch performer. the player who can elevate not only his own game, but also the play of his teammates when it matters most and in the toughest situations.

most intelligent observers already felt this way about lebron. others, for whatever reason, seemed to cling to some absurd notion that lebron's clutch ability was the opposite of that. his play in those finals shattered such idiocy but it also seems to have shaken his haters to the core.

regardless, even they are now believers his supremacy.

pretty sure hes sincere. he used to be much better. its quite sad how badly lebron has emasculated him.

regardless dont see why he would be banned. I mean, being horribly wrong about lebron and transparently clinging to clearly incorrect notions should not be bannable in and of itself. and I didnt see any personal attacks but whatever.

the problem is simply that traffic is down, different modding/mods wont change that. only part of SE that is holding up is the soccerball threads, primarily due to the much higher than average levels of commitment and passion which is found in british people

maybe once the jags move to london we can save the nfl portion of the forum too
