lol MT2R, you ever consider watching international bball? i think you'd like it the most. it's not as good as real bball, but it's better than a bunch of college kids running around and pounding the floor and yelling and stuff before they burn out with a major in jazz appreciation.

no... my favorite variation is early/mid 80s college

what? In my high school games traveling and carrying actually got called extremely strictly so we consciously didn't do them.

That's because it happens much more often, but yours might have been more strict than most.

At the high school level, or as players develop or simply don't have talent, ball handling penalties are much more frequent. And the level of fouling and general sloppy defense in high school games is through the roof. Can you imagine if blocking was strictly called in high school basketball? There'd be a foul on nearly every possession.

And I'm not implying it's on purpose or anything, it's just common sense that when you aren't crafted at a skill you will make more mistakes. Not know how to place or move your feet, where or how to use your hands, how to properly set screens, etc.

I'm of moderate coordination and I'm pretty sure if I tried to put my hand in the face of a jump shooter, I'd manage a multi orifice multi penetration face rape by the end of a quarter.

I definitely agree for all other fouls, but traveling and carrying are the ones that the NBA refs seem to let slide for the most part whereas in my league no one would even think about trying to take three steps

I do enjoy College bball so much more then I enjoy NBA, probably because the Knicks are extremely bad but it's not because they are better passers or run more complex offenses and defenses lol
