Yeah he has to defend a lot of points at the end of the year, made the SF at the US Open and shipped his last 3 tourneys last year (Basel, Paris, Finals for 500/1000/1500 points).

Having it best of 3 then changing to best of 5 for final is so stupid. Either do it the whole way as best of 5 or not at all.

Before 2007, most masters 1000 had the same format (best of 5 finals)
It just adds some epicness for the finals
