Has anyone in the States tried this yet? I was trying earlier and wasn't getting a video unavailable notice. Nothing about not being from a Canadian ISP. Just wondering if it's worth my time to keep trying.

Doesn't work for me either.

Pretty lame that so little video is available on NBC Olympics .com

I'd actually watch some commercials if they had it online. Easy to skip them with the DVR.

my feelings towards the olympics as well.

might be nostalgia, but I loved the olympics growing up, and winter olympics especially. I remember loving the **** out of speed skating and figure skating (cue gay jokes), watching it with my mom. Am I huge speed/figure skating fan? No. but it ruled in the olympics. same with most downhill skiing events.

But the past ~8-12 years of olympics has been worthless to me. It's too hard to watch stuff. My parents have the same complaint. It's all just human interest stories with very little of the athletics.

It's no surprise NBC is probably losing money on the olympics. Humans love love love athletic achievement. It's awesome, it's breathtaking, it's inspiring. That's why baseball boomed in the dingers era. That's why everyone was freaking about Bolt this past summer, and MJ back in '96. Remember how popular MJ was? How many olympic athletes get that kind of attention nowadays?

you would think with twitter and facebook being live and present would be more important. Probably happens in plenty of sports, but I know specifically in basketball, fans are buzzing on twitter switching between games on league pass to watch the most intense/interesting games/moments. Why wouldn't NBC want to create the same environment with the Olympics? Now some reporter tweets from Vancouver, and no followers can jump in front of their TV to catch anything. it's pretty ridic.

Quite right, my mistake...so used to it being CBC, I didn't give it a second thought.

Re: Olympics: Official bitch about NBC's coverage thread

Yeah, NBC's summer coverage was much better. On DirecTV, they had a block of channels showing nothing but Olympics. Not for these Olympics.

What's worse is that they censor their own Internet site also. Want to watch the ski jumping final? Nope, can't do that until they air it on TV. What's the point, especially since their site actually has the results.
