Re: Olympics: London 2012 Summer Games

I think any doubt in Bolt is pretty much unfounded. As long as he doesn't false start (which would itself be very unlikely despite the WC) he will win both 100 and 200 imo.

Even with those odds I would hate to have to support Gatlin.

Rudisha confirmed lock. Really hope Symmonds medals.

I take it posting pics and discussing JB will be allowed on 2+2 for the duration of the Olympics?

Rudisha is probably going to crush. The guy from Oregon that just won the trials is on a mission tho... a mission to get Paris Hilton air time.

Re: Olympics: London 2012 Summer Games

NBC is sending 115 people to London to call the games.

SBNation breaks it down

Quote:
NBC will air a total of 5,535 hours of Olympic coverage during the London games. That's a little over 230 full days of coverage crammed into two weeks across six networks (NBC, NBC Sports Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Bravo, Telemundo), two specialty channels (for soccer and basketball), a 3D network (for cool-looking 3D stuff) and NBC's website
lol Doc Emrick calling Water Polo.

I could be way off here, but do Bolts bad starts recently have to do with him making sure he doesn't fault out of the race and miss the Olympic team?

Hard to say for sure but it's not crazy to speculate that it's playing a role. (which is why as a casual fan I hate the false start rule)

Re: Olympics: London 2012 Summer Games

Probly has more to do with him being 6'5. He's never been particularly great out of the blocks. But yea its not out of the question that its strategic. No reason to risk a dq to win the first 10 meters if ur a near lock to win the race anyway.
