And in talking about upgrades to Hinkle.. why would Brad leave knowing the school is going all-in on the bball program?

Season tickets have jumped over 200$ per seat in the past 2 years. Alumni have flooded $$ in for the upgrades realizing how important Brad now is.

Hell there is even one of those PayPal type accounts set up where people are donating money specifically to go to Brad.

Granted, It would be awful to lose him and if he goes, he goes, but like I have said and many Butler people believe, he leaves for IU, Duke, Kentucky and like you said... All 3 of those are safe, especially Crean

Also, 2 good tourney runs? Forget how we took eventual Florida national champs to OT after we got unreal hosed by the refs? Or how a Mike Miller prayer runner ruined us?

Seriously, before you say we had "run-good" do your research on who we lost to, etc. Not to mention not one team scored over 60 on us in the tournament except Duke. They scored 61. Find me another team that is that well defensively. Or should you just refer to KenPom cause its the know all say all finish all arguments

and you realize Illinois plans to invest at least 6X what Butler has planned for renovations in the next few years with Illinois having a much better starting base to begin with as the Ubben practice facility is decent and the weight room is brand new with the football renovations?

Explain to me why IU won't play Butler at home ever since losing at Assembly and never wanting to do another home/away with them for over 10 years?

Hinkle > Illinois' piece of **** place

I'm done.. I am guessing you are a Illini homer, which is fine, but if he leaves, he leaves, if he stays, then fantastic.

Because there is nothing for IU to gain

If they beat Butler, no one gives them credit because it's LOL Butler

If they lose to Butler, they hear about it forever

Then how does Butler get respect if no one will schedule them.. which is the reason we have played ALL away games at tough teams because they are scared to play mid-majors never allowing them to move higher in the rankings cause LOL their conference.

Get Real

no one will travel to Butler?

2013

Gonzaga will travel to Hinkle

2012

Xavier and Louisville both came to Butler. They also played Purdue in Indy and will be playing IU in Indy next year. Yes IU will have more fans there.

2011

Stanford travels to Butler.

2010

Ohio State and Xavier both travel to Butler.

2009

Northwestern and UAB travel to Butler.

2008

Ohio St travels to Butler. Florida State travels to conseco to play Butler.

FSU was NIT
OSU got a deal with us AFTER our former coach went there
Xavier has almost always had a home/away with us (and i don't consider them really that great of a resume builder)
Stanford-LOLZ this ain't the late 1990's
Louisville- Yes, because Brad and Rick have become great friends
25

IU coming to Indy is not a home and away.. same with Purdue. Neutral courts for instate rivals is a complete joke any way you look at it

Therefore outside of Louisville, none of those really are "reaching" out to play us as the IU game is also part of the new "hoosier classic"...just when IU happens to get good again and try to act like they own the state

We did sign a home/away with Gonzaga which is nice and when we win the Maui tournament next year, you'll all see how good Rotnei Clarke is

Of note, Butler has the best winning percentage and most wins of all NCAA Division I men's basketball programs in the state of Indiana over the last decade (21.6 wins per year through 2006)

Pretty sure this carries through 2010, but too lazy to double check

Gonna need that stat sorted by "wins against RPI top 50/100" before I care about it.
