Ha, I was being mostly facetious. I was a bigger supporter of Thole than most during his time here, and always felt like he could do more if given the chance to actually catch a non-knuckleballer and get a bit more regular time. Seemed to have some decent on-base skills before Dickey, and the few studies that have been done regarding performance of catchers immediately after receiving knuckleballers suggests that there's a bit of a refractory period both offensively and defensively, as well as physically. It was basically a joke to other Jays fans since Dickey and Thole have been a bit of a package deal the last few years.

Edwin is mulling an offer from them, but said it came in lower than he was hoping
seems like he's setting the stage to leave as well

1/$8 seems fine. He's not gonna set anyone's tits on fire but should be a reliable 5th/innings eater.
