*flight booked, looks like I'm officially leaving Thailand tonight and going to play baseball in Europe again. The Prague Eagles, season is 10 games in, they are 3-7 and I should be there in time for Saturday's double header.

Haven't seen live pitching/hitting since last summer, and showing up with no time to practice and all I've done in the last 8 months is just be a drunken degen in Thailand. I'll probably end up 1-8 hitting and might not make it more than 2 innings pitching. Anyway, wish me luck. Sandviper23 = "Adam Sowell" in box scores.

The extraliga is actually somewhat popular and baseball was booming here lately, you might be on TV lol...for example few years back there was academic WCH here and Strasburg pitched here, ended with like 0.3ERA, 0.5WHIP and 40Ks in 20ip

Just curious: did you play on the farang soccer team in CM? Sponsored by UN Irish Pub. I used to play with them when I lived there.

24 hour trip with layovers but landed in Prague Friday afternoon and was playing in my first game in less than 24 hours. Batted cleanup, overall looked pretty bad, 0-3 with 2 K's in the 1st game, and the 2nd game of the double header was 0-3 with a K's before hitting the go ahead game winning grand slam to center, and ended up winning 7-4. Will spend this week training and getting back into shape and hopefully ready to pitch this weekend.

I have been paid for the other european teams in the past, but I just took the opportunity to come without pay because its never much anyway and I really wanted to spend a summer i Prague, they have hooked me up with an apartment for the summer and a few other things, so its appreciated.

WANTED : A solid hitter with speed who can play plus defense at CF/SS that wants to spend the summer in Prague with myself and another American.

The club gave us a free 3 bedroom apartment until October 1st with good internet for grinding and several casinos we goto for live play.

So for the right player, you can come grind out poker and baseball with us til the season is over.

If you don't play poker for a living, or you don't any money saved up, don't bother PMing me, there isn't any extra pay besides getting free rent while you are here. First games this weekend. Had a scrimmage tonight where I started off 0-2 and over thinking. Then relaxed, hit a basehit, double that ran the gap to left center fence, and flew out to the track in left center, so I'm taking a lot away from that- better not rain this weekend!

first game back since my injury.

0-2, BB, 2 Ks, I looked like Soriano chasing curve balls in the dirt. Awful.

I came in to pitch with our team leading 8-4 in the bottom of the 6th with the bases loaded and no outs. Got two FC where runners scored, walked one, and then got the last guy to get out of it up 8-6. In the 7th, they loaded the bases again (1 hit, two errors by the infield) and I got a pop up and ground out to end it. Lowered my ERA from 27 to 9.

Game 2 today

5IP 2H 2R 0ER 2K 1BB

Had a no hitter through four but very shoddy defense meant we were down 2-0 when I left. 2 hits to lead off the 5th but stranded both. Had great stuff today and felt very comfortable. Was gassed after 5 plus we needed to give some other pitchers a look. They did well too but our bats stunk and we lost 3-0.

0-1 w a K and 2 BB at the plate. Could have been 3 BB but I swung at ball 4 in my middle at bat. 2 innings at SS, 1 put out.

Team is 0-2 now. Need to get our bats together. Guys struggling to adjust to wood bats throughout the league.

Another 2 week wait for another game due to Memorial Day.

Yeah they ran out 3 guys when I was out there. All very different. Wasn't super impressed with any but they got the job done. First shutout in the 3 years I have been with this team.
