This is getting absurd. I tire late in the inning because I'm literally trying to get 9 outs, so I end up walking guys and I need to be pulled. The worst was when we had runners at 1st/2nd with 0 outs in a one run game in the 5th inning, and their last hitter up. I pointed at the 3b and said "you stay home," pointed at the SS and said "you cover 2nd," pointed at the 2b and said "you cover first," and pointed at the 1b and said "you charge, I take 3b side and everything at me unless the catcher gets it first."

lol'd in anticipation of failure
brings me back to first year of travel (13) when we borrowed a middle school classroom and ran through bunting situations, and god knows what else. we had a table buffet of 7-eleven snacks. and coming from the house league which was 80% scrubs, we had a set play 'APR' (anexation of puerto rico) = runner on third, player at the plate reaches first ideally on a walk, then attempts to get picked off to catch the defense more off-guard than if getting picked off/stealing play mid at-bat. even more retarded we had an audible play - 'reverse APR' to prepare as a defense. someone on that team ended up breaking their arm at a practice when a kid bodyslammed him during the end-of-practice ritual of playing kids vs the adults.
ive still been murdering the 75mph cage. today i walked up and a redneck was hitting with no helmet, getting laughed out of the cage by his friends. i walked in right after and redneck2 asked me if i was ready to show his buddy up, i said 'i'll try'. i walked out after mashing and 2 said 'i have nothing left to say' and i just say 'ok' and go about my business. im guessing most ppl step in to that cage thinking they can still hit and end up fail, if only because 40 y/o guys seem continually impressed for me not doing much. most of them have no clue about the game. I've given up interrupting their misguided coaching lessons with their kids...even one guy I was talking to, who was also telling his daughter she needed to time the ball like ME (?) or something, sent his daughter in to bunt for the duration of the token. proceeded to square her feet up to the
mound and hold the bat flat at her waist. missed the majority of them, then stepped in himself and missed each one, looking like a tard in the process.
