I told my mom I'm going to be playing ball, and she sent me the following! Look at me Despaigne the ball into outfield! Look at me get loooow in preparation of a hot smash! Pic is from 14 year old All Star tournament, I was literally 7-8 that game. The one out was an infield fly rule situation that the second baseman didn't come close to catching.

i seem to be fine at 2B and SS. If I play 3B, I'm fine unless it's like a hard hit one hopper where I have a ton of time. I seem to "ease" it over there and it's not hard to figure out how that goes.

I heard recently that ankiel was boozing before starts when he was going through his issues. didn't surprise me, b/c I was considering it. I have a few experiences of drunk basketball and I've shot the lights out every time.

Went to tryouts today. Doubt I stood out much either way, which is fine. The league president said there might be an opportunity to play games at Safeco Field, that would be absolutely exquisite.

I'm afraid it's gonna be a no metal bat league. I've never used wood in live play, not excited about it.

I need to build some upper body strength so I can swing the lumber fast and hopefully drive the ball 350 feet. I'm very uneducated in strength training, I would like to work toward increasing bat speed, but no idea where to begin.

our league was half wood/half metal before - default was wood unless managers agreed before game to use metal (which they usually did except for the teams with all older guys). league managers voted to go all wood this year, which since I play 3B a lot, I have to say I'm pretty happy about.

Pitched a 1-2-3 last inning in a tie game today then led off bottom half with a double and scored the winner. With another double and run scored as well. Sunday league playoffs in 2 weeks.

No, I was in the bottom 1% not drafted. My only guess is because my online profile is one of the few that indicate I have less than 80% availability, and not sure why.

I also went out for PSSBL and got passed on once. Couldn't hit baseball after too much slow pitch. Moved to Portland soon after. Found a mellow league where I could pitch every week and fix my swing

I can definitely hit. And serviceable rec league first baseman, but that's it. Can't run, can't throw too well.

Got to play at Salem Keizer stadium today. Lost 5-3. Made the last out on a gapper that I thought would be a game tying double. LF made a diving grab instead

Who is playing this year?

Already practiced indoors twice and been to the cages a few times.
Pick up group rented a local single-A stadium (Hillsboro Hops) for an exhibition game on Sunday. Should be a blast.

Set to play in 2 leagues and regular pick up. Let the games begin.
