Halladay was throwing strikes with insane movement. They were overmatched. The Reds were never even that close to getting a hit.

Cabrera's is an idiot if he actually believes that.

Damn what a great time to be a Phillies fan. You just wonder what great thing is going to happen next. Growing up it was nothing but pain , but it's totally worth now that I get to experience this. Loyalty eventually pays off.

Thing is, game 2 is even more of a pitching mismatch. Arroyo has like a 9.00 ERA vs Philly....and he's a RHP. Ruh rohhhh

1st sentence is just lol. Yes, obviously its MORE of a mismatch. As if the best pitcher in NL/MLB versus anyone isn't a huge mismatch...much less a guy who pitched < 70 IP.

2nd sentence. OH NOES!, Arroyo's a RHP!

2010 Phils vs lefty starters .260/.330/.411
2010 Phils vs righty starters .260/.333/.414

Trust me, we'd rather face Arroyo or any RHP than Wood or any LHP....quote any numbers you want.

It's not a normal RHP....it's Arroyo who can't strike people out...against a team that has an offensive weakness of striking out a lot. He also has a terrible record vs Philly.

What do you want me to say?

Number don't always lie...but full season numbers LHP vs RHP do in this situation cause I'm talking about Arroyo being a jobber RHP...which he is.

What a sick, sick, SICK performance. I think that was probably the most "perfect game-ish" no hitter I have ever seen (if that makes any sense).

-C-P-: you don't need to argue with Pippen, he's a great Philly fan, but it's pointless once he starts talking like he's the bench coach or equipment guy, or has any other affiliation with the team or MLB in general.

Oh stop...you know we always have respectful chats and not childish homerish rants (even though we both are).

I'm just saying you can't compare full season RHP/LHP #'s to game 2. Arroyo is a great match-up for us.

Aight, fair enough...For real though, Roy was unreal tonight. Glad I tuned in for the game (even though I was rooting Reds).

Yeah but once it's 4-0 and he has it going like that it's ok to just root for history cause you know they aren't getting 4 runs. If Lowe is in the same situation tomorrow night, I'll be doing the same.

nahhhhhhhhhhhh

Actually, after the 7th inn I prob will.

Dunno about ya'll, but I assumed the game was locked in and started sweating the no-hitter in the 4th inning. I literally didn't even consider the idea that we might lose after the 4th, nor did I even think about having a 1-0 series lead.
