Imo rigging theories are insane. There have been rigging theories forever and I don't recall any confirmed instance of rigging.

If it's something that happens every year it would involve hundreds of refs, execs, commissioners over time. Odds are the lid would be blown if it truly was a thing.

I will believe zero rigging claims until a ref, past or present, claims there was rigging.

I do believe that refs try to keep games close, as Everlastrr said.
