Sid vs McBust would be such a fun cup.

Be like Lebron vs Jordan of our time

No one in Edmonton will care - RNH was widely discussed in round 1 as the best forward we had, despite scoring 0-0-0 because his line shut down SJ top line.

There's rampant speculation McDavid is either injured (the intermission panel put something together showing this) or sick (by all accounts, the Oilers were ravaged by the flu in round 1 - Draisaitl was apparently the first to get over it and he has been dominating ever since). Hopefully it's just sickness.

He's a long suffering Canucks fan. Also, he carries the hockey threads on 2+2, so cut him some slack.

Has anyone come up with a reason why they're having alternating days of the east and west matchups playing simultaneously instead of doing double headers every night? Other than standard lol nhl

mostly a product of how the series ended i would guess
(both WC ones on the day before the EC ones)

doesn't really matter too much as both Nashville or St.Louis are pretty central

think it shakes out a bit as they progress

Caps players who I didn't know were as good as they were, Orlov and Burakovsky. Orlov was a horse against the Leafs and to me their best overall dman. Niskanen and Carlson would be next in D depth with a little dropoff after that. (Schmidt, Orpik, Alzner) Shattenkirk is garbage and will fleece someone next year. A PP specialist at best. Pens are going to eat him up.

Burakovsky really drove the 2nd line and impressed me near every night. He along with Johansen seemed right on the same level as Kuznetzov who is talented but a bit of a head case. They better be on point because they will draw Malkin or Croz all series. (see below) Beagle is a very serviceable 4C.

This series like all playoff series will be about matchups. Can't wait to see who goes up against who. The key to the series is 2C for the Pens who actually might be 1C and the lack of depth on D for Pitt. Does this mean Pitt adjusts like last year and moves Kessel to the 3rd line with Bonino if the 3/4 lines of Caps start taking advantage of the Pens D? I can't wait.

That Bura' is 3rd line is even better for you, was thinking he's a center, which makes him more impressive. Anyways the guy is a beast. I like Schmidt too def the best choice of the bottom group especially against Pitt.

As usual this is all my eye test. Maybe I should see if the fancy stats are actually backing me up first...

massive dive by Johansson. pathetic

Caps keep matching OV's line against Malkin's line. Poor strategy. Malkin is better than anyone on OV's line. They should try to match OV against the Pens 3rd line where Sheary and Wilson are not good a D
