- Berube given the Ted Nolan treatment. now that i think about it, i wonder how many coaches we'll see get canned in an attempt to lure Babcock. Philly is another with all the money in the world, along with Toronto and apparently Buffalo.
WANGZ fanz: the talk earlier in the year from Babcock's camp was that he wasn't interested in a rebuild, only contenders. that would seem to rule some of these teams out, and possibly make a Detroit stay more attractive given all their young talent.
- Stars possibly gambool it up and sign D John Klingberg to a 7-year / $29.75m extension ($4.25m AAV) on the strength of his 40pts in 65gp rookie season, and good possession numbers. could be quite a coup if that's how good he actually is, and looks like a ~$7m D and the cap goes up to $75-80m soon. and it could end up looking pretty lol if he's a mirage. anyone watch him closely enough to say either way? can't say i noticed him much this year tbh.

Remember how Gary Bettman said fans weren’t really interested in a CapGeek-style website?
Well, the commish is saying the same thing about a revised points system, i.e. three points for a win as opposed to the current two, or something along those lines.
“The media debates it a lot, but we don’t get a lot of negative feedback from fans”
