Arrow NHL Modern Era Draft: The "Oh look another lockout" Edition

PLEASE PM THE NEXT PERSON(S) IN THE DRAFT ORDER AFTER YOU PICK

THE RULES:
  • The purpose of this draft is to choose players based on 1 "peak" season. Please specify which season you are choosing along with your pick. If you have no idea which year to choose, other drafters may angleshoot you into choosing the wrong year.
  • Eligible players are those that were drafted during or after the 1987 draft
  • Undrafted players are also eligible as long as their first draft eligible year was 1987 or later
  • Players from the 2012 NHL Draft are not eligible since they have yet to play an NHL game (Any player drafted in 1987 or after that has not played a game in the NHL is ineligible)
  • Roster Size: 12 Forwards, 6 d-men, 2 goalies
  • Please PM the next person in the draft order after you pick
  • The draft clock will be: 6 hours for the first 3 rounds, and 4 for every round after (subject to change as the draft goes on/when people start complaining)
  • The draft clock will stop at 12am EST and will start back up at 10am EST
  • If you sign on to 2+2 please click on the Sporting Events subforum and check to see where we are in the draft
  • Write-ups are required (Pictures/Gifs/youtoobs are welcomed)
  • Please send me lists if you will not be around for your pick(s)
  • If you are skipped once and do not make up your skipped pick before your next pick, you will be automatically skipped (after the first 2 rounds)
  • If you have any issues with the rules, please suck on my nuts

The draft will be reverse snake for the first 3 rounds and then regular snake for the remainder of the draft:

Round 1: team a picks 1st, team x picks 19th

Re: NHL Modern Era Draft: The "Oh look another lockout" Edition

I'm looking to trade my first round pick and my last round pick for a 2nd and 3rd round pick. Quote this and say booked and it's a trade.

Without mentioning names, do you believe that there is a clear #1 overall player for this draft?

Re: NHL Modern Era Draft: The "Oh look another lockout" Edition

Just to be clear, if Scott Gomez 2011-12 goes first overall, is Scott Gomez 2010-11 still on the board? I hope not, that would be lame.

Ah I see I forgot a bullet point in the OP.

If someone selects Scott Gomez, don't bother specifying a year; you'll get his whole career

Re: NHL Modern Era Draft: The "Oh look another lockout" Edition

The odds of my #1 guy being around at #4 has to be at best 100:1. I'll be stunned if he drops to me.
