It seems like ancient history that we all nervously awaited word about whether or not this NHL season would even happen. And here we are, 4 months later, with what should be a fantastic finish in front of us.
In the Eastern Conference, it's Bruins/Pens. These two teams finally clash in a big playoff series, long overdue given their respective success in the conference throughout the past 5 years.
LETTUCE GET TO IT:
The Bruins thought they had Iginla at the deadline.
Butnahhhhh. Iggy decided to go play with Sid. I ain't even mad tho (anymore).
We got to keep BART
and bring in JAGR
And how exciting for Bruins fans that we now have not 1, but 2 GOABs to root for. Bart's emergence has been a pleasant surprise but it's KRUG that stole the show in the last series.
Elsewhere, the Bruins have the edge in the goaltending department.
as these playoffs are long overdue for some LOL VOKOUN
Will Sid and company prevail as the favorites?
Or will the BRUINS return to the Cup finals for the 2nd time in 3 years?
I'll go Pens in 6. We match up against Boston well and have had a lot of success against them in recent years. Hopefully this regular season trend translates to the playoffs like the Pens / Flyers playoff matchup of last year.
I just don't think there is a real LOL VOKOUN coming. I honestly expected to see one at some point, but aside from shaky moments here and there(and they are there, to be sure) he has been pretty damn good. Penguins in 6.
Looks like the B's are gonna start the series splitting up Chara and Seidenberg. No changes to the forward lines (still wanna see Seguin back with Bergy and Marchand).
