NHL Dynasty Draft - 2013-2014 Season NHL Dynasty Draft - 2013-2014 Season

Based on this comprehensive report, I seem to have won years 9 & 10.

Will try to watch more hockey than just Bruins playoff games by 2020 in preparation.

Oh, & Jake Allen is 26-10 in his career. His 72% win rate is on pace to be 2nd all time behind only Ken Dryden.

What it do Antti Niemi???

lol

yeah well the teams i put for years 7-8 should probably still be competitive by the end, and there might be another young team or two among the MIA, but yeah your group is a strong contender for many titles in this*, and might not have a real threat by the end.

Hall, Galchenyuk, Forsberg, Barkov, Monahan, Hamilton & Lindholm are already good NHLers.
several more are on the cusp.
probably not many misses among the group.
possible that the entire team is still playing by Year 10.

yeah, not bad.

- is that Max Talbot, or...?
- Hertl isn't a center afaik, at least not yet in the NHL
- Sbisa blows, and i think Gudas & Polak do too
- is Mrazek a legit NHLer?

other than that, yeah i like it

My third line absolutely blows, but assuming there would end up being a free agency period and a draft those guys would all be gone as soon as their contracts are up.

OP says contacts are irrelevant, but there is a draft. As such, I assume the only way to replenish is through the draft.

Who to take with my imaginary 1st pick in the 2014 draft to make my ridiculously stacked team even more stacked...

Aaron Ekblad seems pretty good?

there isn't for the purposes of this thing
replacement-level players fill in for bad/injured/retired guys, but that's it

pretty sure this influenced the strategy of some teams, opting for safer picks rather than homerun swings

only theoretically, but i don't really know why
improves your strategy even more though i guess

would have been fun if we had some kind of way to sim this thing, like with that DWD draft we did before. then based on the results try to do actual 1 round drafts every year to add new players. that would have been neat.

Ready to give up on the Jake Allen hate yet???

4th in NHL in wins, 6th in GAA, 6th in save %, T1st shutouts.

48-19-6 career record.

Toews, Kuznetsov, and O'Reilly up the middle. Holtby in goal. Yup, I won.

holy crap, basically my entire team is like dead already

Bergeron & Schneider is enough to carry a team, right? RIGHT!?!

like most people in this world, i have no real feelings of any sort towards Jake Allen

seemed like my analysis above was presuming that he's a legitimate NHL 'tender, sorrynotsorry that i'm not in romantic love with the man

I've never watched him play, but the stats say he's pretty good...unfortunately he'll have to be because my defense seems to have issues for now...

This is the only thing I root for in hockey besides idly viewing Bruins scores when they scroll by.

Your Selke Nominees: Bergeron (BOS), Kesler (ANA), Koivu (MIN).
fairly hilarious team these days outside of the Schneider and the centers tho

Am I still winning?

Didn't watch any hockey this year, but I did win POG fantasy hockey league this year with several of my guys on my team, so I assume they're g2g.
