Looks like all the good young goalies have been taken. I hate this pick because I'm not a fan of his mechanics at all, and I think he's shielded behind a great team...but he's still only 28 years of age, he did put up some impressive numbers down the stretch, and he's got a RANG.

So...ugh, what the hell. Taking Corey Crawford and immediately hiring nutshot2 to work with him on the offseason as a special catching consultant. All they'll do is play catch. That's literally all they will do.

Martinez definitely plays the left. The only time he plays the right is if paired with another lefty like Ellerby.

The instances in that pic where he is playing the right, 3 of the 4 are when he is on the ice with a right handed defenceman who normally plays on the right (Doughty, Voynov, Greene), so the site is prob wrong

For the most part I don't think it's a big deal. Lefties are by far the most common handedness among defenseman and most learn to play both sides of the ice well. Righties basically always play the right side unless you have a surplus of RHD, which is very rare.
