Starting to get more convinced - going in and winning b2b on the road in NYI-Det was a big change from the past. Team seems to have enough now that when one line is off, the other lines are good enough to keep the game competitive, which wasn't the case in the past. If Talbot ever gets hurt or slumps, look out.
I also did a quick tally up - the combined record of the Oilers opponents this year is 88-76-23 (essentially imagine they'd been playing a team that is currently 6-5-2 every game). It hasn't been the world's toughest schedule, but it hasn't been all cream puffs either.
