Stupid and horrible turnover from Laine for 0-3. Jesse also had some very bad shifts in the d-zone, some good in o-zone at last.

worried he might not be physical enough to defend well, but other than that yeah he looks fine so far, we'll see how it goes, i haven't really focused on him much though tbh

and yes he should be a PP factor as only he, Edler, and Hutton are any good in that role
(Tanev, Gudbranson, and Sbisa are not)

Wonder if dem FStats show how many more goals the Habs score when the Chief is in net than when not? Gotta be a lot. Combine that with his league leading edge in goals against and you go from the bottom of the league to the top it seems.

Things I saw during the alumni game.

A D-to-D pass in front of the net was jumped on by a sprinting, predicting, Edmonton Oiler. Why doesn't this happen now?

Morris Lukowich and Dale Hawerchuk made a lot of plays happen by just being in the best possible place.

Ford, an old slow guy with a good stick, stopped every play that came to his side with a poke.

Lower scoring has much to do with better defence and goalies, but those guys like Messier can shoot, and accurately. Everybody had some kind of shot.
