I'm just so thrilled the Blues traded Elliott instead of Allen. I'm sure it will work out 100% and won't cause any problems when the playoffs arrive.

I think there may be some instances where that may be the case late in the season. But for the most part 3rd periods are still pretty awesome.

You are not likely to score in any given period.

This shows marginally less scoring in the 3rd, but many less power-play goals.
