I don't think "quality of current roster" really has anything to do with it. people looking to be HC's will generally take any job they can get. an exception might be someone like McDaniels who may only have one chance left

I mean of course a guy five years removed from internship was put in charge, it's not like they can get anyone of John L. Smith's caliber to come in and right the ship, besides Smith is enjoying a debt-free retirement from what I've read

I can't believe how Philbin in that quote seems to have the kiddie gloves on with Tannehill, but last year refused to say who the starter was for the game vs Oakland in London.

Particularly since Tannehill signed his contract between that time. Seems kinda logical to treat the rookie gently early in his career and then raise expectations, but what would I know.

What I take from that is Suh is lame, but at least it's an ethos, Tannehilol is absolutely pathetic and a massive loser, and Philbin made practice less productive, more forgiving, and worse because Tannehill was shook by his own practice squad.

Should trade Tannehill for some sod.
