Awesome. I love what a mess their staff is. No one on it has previous HC experience, so there's no obvious replacement candidate. Ordinarily you'd ask a coordinator to step into the role, but both the coordinators have been a huge part of the problem this year (Coyle with his "let's play cornerbacks 10 yards off the ball on third-and-short" and Lazor's 80/20 pass/run ratio).

Let's consider some other ways the Philbin tenure has been hilarious:

1)Stephen Ross insisted the new GM keep Philbin, which chased away all the qualified candidates and resulted in hiring a guy who was a staffer in Tampa Bay's Dominik/Schiano regime not long before that team fired all of those people
2)Ross kept Philbin around after the bullying controversy, which means he either A)Knew about it and approved it or B)Didn't know about it-- and in my opinion, either one is grounds for firing
3)Philbin seems to have no clue that his team even has problems, let alone what they are and how to fix them.
