Brady is favorite to win MVP if it's close - he's only won it a few times so it's not like he's reached Jordan status where the voters are looking for a reason to give it to someone else. And his passing stats are going to be a good bit better than Cam's.

is a bit odd how other guys having great seasons at QB (Dalton, Palmer) aren't in the conversation. feels like Brady 60%, Cam 25%, field 15%. or something like that.

Cam a top 10 QB by default. Qbs like Peyton and Brees are inexplicably bad this year so guys like cam benefit but only by default.

media cant overlook UNDEFEATED SEASON.

brady is the obvious mvp unless carolina finished 2 games better than the patriots somehow.

It should be Bardy > Palmer > Cam. Seems objectively correct.

Why the **** did they hire tomsula in the first place if he didn't want to build around kaep like they want. Everyone knew the 9ers were gonna blow nuts, tomsula has done a decent job so far. Gabbert has been serviceable. I can't believe I just said that.

Oh right, the 29ers got their how to run a NFL organization book from the browns.

I do not understand how or why Kellen Davis is in the NFL. (TE currently on the Jets, has spent years in the NFL @ TE despite not being able to block or catch, mostly drawing ire of bears fans during the martz era, where we dumped greg olsen for him b/c martz couldn't figure out how to use greg olsen instead of dumping martz (if you can't utilize your best offensive receiving weapon, it's you who needs to go not the other way around).

Lots of Jets were terrible yesterday, but both tackles surprised me, yes watt's one reason, but since when did brickashaw suck? Clowney beat him a few times and it seemed like brick was the reason, not clowney doing anything good. I missed that memo.

Quinton Coples a former 1st rounder getting no play time/cut despite Jets not having an edge rusher on the team is hilarious. Jets D is just flawed from a construction standpoint, they've got the $ and big names and still suck.

Bills Chiefs massive wild card equity game, it sure looks like the Chiefs are gonna make the playoffs, schedule from here is a walk. I said this about the falcons earlier but even send out kicking team.jpg isn't falcons level dumb coaching wise.

The Bucs are the 7 seed in the NFC atm, and one game behind lol ATL. (TB has Sea currently beat in the tiebreaker) Could THE BUCS make the playoffs? The NFC is bad and should feel bad.

If BUF loses to NE, only 9 teams will have winning records in the NFL. Out of 32 in a zero sum game.

from pff about chi/den

"Without pressure, Osweiler completed 18-of-20 pass attempts for 225 yards and two touchdowns for a +1.2 pass grade. But when pressured, he completed just two passes on 13 dropbacks for 25 yards and a -1.7 pass grade, and was sacked five times."

fangio being a defensive guru needs some adjustment on the word guru; you blitz a guy making his first career start like 3/4th the time or more. Don't have to change it unless they start going screen heavy--you're gonna force them into many mistakes.

Brees hasn't been that bad honestly. Not nearly anything like Peyton at least. Give Brees the Broncos defense and you probably have the best team in the league.

Ron Rivera is currently favorite for Coach of the Year. if he wins, current multiple time winners of Coach of the Year will be

Belichick (3x winner, HC for 15 years in NE)
Rivera (2x winner, HC for 5 years)
Arians (2x winner, HC for 3.5 years)

there's media voting for you. if Belichick doesn't go 14-2 he doesn't even get on the ballot

Ted Ginn Jr is the #1 WR on the #3 scoring team (29.9 pts/game) in the NFL. He had something like 12 catches last year as the #4 or #5 WR of his previous team.

Brady is the favorite for MVP but Palmer and Cam are both contenders.

The fact the Cowboys were by far the worst team in the NFL with him out has to play a part.

While it's become clear that Romo is one of the most valuable people for his team based on them being one of the best teams in the NFC with him and 0-7 with losses to the Bucs, Saints, and Falcons without him, Cam taking Ginn, JStew, and Funchess to something like 13-3 and HFA is pretty much the same thing. Seriously, the Panthers offense is atrocious + Cam and they are 10-0 with one of the best scoring offenses in the league. It's unreal.

It's a damn shame SMITTY had to end his career getting hurt for the 1-X flacberts instead of getting to come back to Carolina.

So Case Keenum almost certainly got concussed on the weekend, got up and continued playing. Jeff Fisher was asked about this today.

It's like people forget Carolina has a top 5 defense. Cowboys almost won some close games without a RB, WR, or a QB. Literally had no weapons on offense. Stewart is a solid RB and Olsen is a top 3 TE and a huge weapon that people act as if he basically isn't a big WR.

They went 0-7 with a unequivocally worse offense and worse defense.

ESPN's MVP analysis: Brady does this all the time, CAM is new and exciting...

I'm not sure it's as absurd as it seemed a couple of weeks ago. But it's more of a snapshot analysis. Cam is a rising stock and Brady is falling... but the body of work is still relevant. They're both 10-0 with big-time games to play to close out a season in style... Palmer is up there as well, let's see how these teams battle the attrition of their teams and position themselves for the playoffs.

Got to be the first 10-0 @ 3-7 type of game that actually is intriguing pregame. or first one of those on any date ever for that matter.

Unlikely to ever top 07 Pats @ Ravens on MNF in actual game quality (4-7 ravens got reffed); but we can dream.

maybe the NFL should get the competition committee on that egregious discourse of treating that concussion

Spoiler:
Fisher is co chair obviously, lol NFL

Ravens got 2 SNF dates to get flexed out of so I took a look.

W14 vs Seattle, Dal @ GB is a lock to be protected, if PIT @ CIN is protected, it gets rough, NE @ HOU???? (got to figure ATL @ CAR isn't gonna be an attractive game at that point) NO @ TB? BUF @ PHI?

(actually TNF is min @ Ari, we should have TNF flex scheduling where the worst game of the week can get flexed into TNF, sorry **** teams, don't lose if you don't wanna play on TNF)

W16 vs PIT, GB @ Zona certainly protected, but nyg @ min is the best bet here. Though if not due to holy **** it's cold outside in MIN at night in december, carolina's game is probably meaningless, NE's easily could be, there's an actual chance it's like chicago @ Tampa bay? looooool)

(who am I kidding it's DAL @ BUF no matter what the records are right?)

edit--and I'm gonna waste an hour or so on yahoo's nfl playoff simulator even tho it doesn't start for another week b/c **** espn
