i was gonna say it's conceivable the rams could take 2nd, fisher's a solid coach and they did make some upgrades, but then i looked at their schedule and it's pretty brutal for a team that just went 2-14

Re: 2012 NFL Preseason Discussion & Power Rankings

Plus they still don't have nearly enough talent

They brought in a good (or at least big) rookie class but that almost never makes an impact right away

Wouldn't be surprised if they are significantly better in 2013.

I think the Seahawks could challenge for the division if they got decent-to-good QB play.

Re: 2012 NFL Preseason Discussion & Power Rankings

I'm putting that rams there because I am thinking there could be a bounce back year for them. Should probably have the hawks there, but I don't see a lot of good records coming out of that division.

I think the saints will crash hard this year. Way too many outside problems and losing some talent on the field and huge portions of their coaching talent.

That and I did all of these rankings off of the top of my head.

Whilst ranking Saints last in the division is absurd, I can kind of understand the reasoning. Having Packers 3rd in their division I can't see any logic for though.

Re: 2012 NFL Preseason Discussion & Power Rankings

I don't think the talent thing is going to be an issue (unless Brees doesn't sign, somehow) as most of the players who are left or suspended were replaced pretty easily. Coaching, improved competition, and general malaise about the bounty stuff could drop the Saints' record quite a bit, but they still have too much offensive talent to be truly bad.

Bucs have made a ton of improvement on offense but are still suspect on defense. Carolina finished strong last year and I expect Newton to be awesome but they have lots of questions. And Atlanta will still be Atlanta, good enough to make the playoffs but not quite good enough to crack the elite teams.

Meh, we will most likely still suck this year but I hope we at least play teams tough and not just roll over like we have been doing. Also hoping to run better with injuries, they have been killing us recently.

Im liking the Bengals this year. I dont look for a sophmore slump for green or dalton. with otas and minicamps for first time and a better oline and more dependable back. Bengals could get the 1 seed in the AFC.

Meh, I love my Bills and all but they probably finish 3rd in AFC East. just too weak at WR, QB and LB.

And people in Cincinnati might get to watch their games on TV this year, which is nice.

Buffalo hosts Jax and Rams late in the season and no chance those games sell out. The new rule (if Buffalo accepts it) will be great, assuming they sell the mandatory amount of tix, which is not a sure thing.

I think the NFL might have a real attendance problem soon. The experience of watching NFL on TV is light years ahead of what it was even 5 years ago.
