Pats almost always have great route runners at the skill positions. Great play design + an extremely accurate short to mid range QB + guys who almost never run the wrong routes and you're going to have a very potent offense even if the only superlative talent on the team is the QB.

Thread needs to stay open so we can periodically lol quote everyone who was so strong on #teamPeyton and doubted how good Brady was

I think Rodgers/Peyton might be more interesting

There's no shame in having your body fall apart (for football reasons) like Manning's did. Any of these guys are one bad shot away from being done-zo for ever, and I wouldn't even hold Manning's terrible final season against him other than not knowing when to quit (and he still got a RANG).

Actually Brady took his one bad shot, a dirty take-out tackle, one mere mortals would die from. Brady came back and won two SBs.

LOL "dirty takeout tackle", that was business as usual for 99% of the NFL's existence.

So cool that Rodgers can make that scrub Jordy Nelson look so good.

As much flak as McCarthy takes on here, he gave Rodgers a pretty amazing system to work with. It made the league think Matt Flynn was talented.

I'm still trying to reconcile SE's near-unanimous coronation of BB as the GOAT HC/GM/team builder with him paying Brady anything beyond his rookie contract. The Pats have paid Brady almost $200M when BB could just coach up the next 5-yard passer.

From one game against a team already in the playoffs. Still convinced the playbook is 'run around until Rodgers finds you' or toss to RB. How do you account for every other QB in that system performing terribly?

Sorry if I'm being obtuse but what's the comparison where a Packers QB played with Jordy / Cobb / etc and performed terribly?

Flynn threw for 900 yards and 9 TDs in a single game when he got to play with Jordy.

Answer used to be lolobv Payton >Brady. After news broke that Peyton went golfing with Trump, I guess it's a disgusting coin flip or something.

So a total of 3 starts from two horrible quarterbacks. Aka no sample.

Flynn's passer rating in 6 starts for GB: 100.2, 136.4, 51.9, 95.6, 113.1, 69.6. That's 4 very good/great starts and two duds.

Quick research on my part so may be off, but I see Flynn in 6 starts as a Packer @ 136/211 for 1659 yds, 15:6 TD:INT, 100.4 rating.

So I'm gonna go with, nah.

It does miss his effort vs the Lions in a 7-3 loss where Rodgers got injured as well, and he threw 10 of those 15 touchdowns in two games.

I agree that if you ignore his good games, the rest of his games look pretty bad.

Flynn in 8 games as a Packer, minimum 10 attempts: 172/273, 2054, 16:7, 94.8

It only looked at way when the Pack were loaded at the skill positions. Jordy is a shell of his former self and everyone else stinks and Rodgers still drags them to the playoffs.

It's more like the Pack aren't talented enough to overcome McCarthy's pedestrian and predictable offense and beast the same way they could in 2010 and 2011.

Lol this is the best post yet.

Your posting is so idiotic you've converted me from a Jordan GOAT guy to a LeBron GOAT guy. If I'm ever unsure if I'm correct on a sports issue, I'll just check in to see which side you're on and fade it.
