What happened to not wanting scrappy Ravens/Steelers/Giants teams in the CCG's/Super Bowl?

Someone can put that in its appropriate thread it they feel the need(as I no longer have the ability to myself). Remember tomorrow 10pm will be the "podcast" type thing as long as nothing unfortunate happens with the planning. Should have a basic itinerary up but if there is something specific you'd like covered you can let me know. I'm interested in getting nath's real feelings about Whisenhunt and Caldwell.

Pretty much what I got from watching it:

Panthers MUST HAVE BEEF on the goal line with their 23 personnel. Aldon Smith shut down by Gross for the most part.
Kaep not allowed to check out of runs against 8+ man boxes. Try to run and mostly fail against the inside consisting of Short/StarLo/LUUUKE.

I tend to think you should start a thread for these. We're sorely lacking in strategy type discussion and these are too good to just get buried between posts about so and so's lawnmower being launched into orbit.

Maybe next season we can start a thread? I think it could help generate some really interesting discussion.

Yeah that's the line that floored me. Easy joke is easy but really what does he think TRich contributed to this season?

Say he has the physical tools but is running scared, say he doesn't grasp the playbook, say he's the victim of bad play calling. Make any excuse you want, but don't completely ignore his output and pretend he contributed.

I mean, what's he gonna say? "Yeah he's a useless turd and I should feel bad for lighting a first round pick on fire. I'm cutting that no-talent ****bag tomorrow."

Seems like his only move in public is to double down. Hopefully he doesn't actually believe his own words.

Biggest thing I've seen with Trent is mental. He keeps trying to juke/evade in spots he needs to be running forward and/or plowing over people (tho his early injuries are probably a contributing factor to this). If I felt I could fix that I would take a flier on him as crazy as that sounds.

what do you expect grigson to say after his big trade? Trich sucked balls all year that was really dumb? A GM is never going to admit he made a stupid trade while being a GM for obv reasons.

I hope they trade him again so we can keep the cycle going. So far teams have given up a total of five draft picks for the right to acquire Trent Richardson.

Obviously he can't bash him, but like I said, you can speak positively about a player without just outright making **** up. He could say he's improved a lot in practice and will have the benefit of a full off-season. That's probably true enough and even though it likely won't matter, gives a positive spin on the situation.

Everyone, even Richardson himself, has talked about his ineffectiveness. Saying you don't win 12 games without him is just mind-bottling.

Oh well, at least Grigson can't possibly screw up the core of Luck, Hilton, Rogers, Allen, Fleener, Ballard AND the $35M+ in cap space he's going to have...

Joking aside, there's some truth to this. The guy is a tank and great at turning one yard losses into one yard gains. That said, if he hasn't un****ed his mind enough by now to realize that downhill running is the way to go for him, is he really ever going to learn?
