On the bright side, RT, Chris Ballard already seems to be much better at being a GM than Ryan Grigson ever was.

And he comes from Kansas City, which made a home for Tyreek Hill, so I hope you're looking forward to future Colts featured back Joe Mixon.

Would like to report something interesting, but it's all just which players are visiting where.

Nick Foles signed with Eagles for 2/$11m/$7m, though, which I don't think has been mentioned yet. They really need to trade Chase Daniel to get that guaranteed $$$ off the books...

Eagles did pick up another $2.58m in room by restructuring Ertz, though.

Chiefs sign DT Bennie Logan to a 1-year deal. Apparently this means they are moving on from Dontari Poe.

Also, ZEKE.

DeMarcus Ware retiring, Anquan Boldin not retiring, John Jerry back to Giants for 3/$10m/$4.25m.

& according to Jason LaCanfora, league insiders are "baffled" at wtf the Bears are doing.

Well, the Bears let their best offensive player walk and cut their QB, and they've decided to spend the money on a bad QB and some crappy players

Remember when Lovie Smith was fired for going 10-6? Those were the days.

A lot of owners do stupid things with the "win it all or nothing mentality" many of them had. Pretty sure Andy Reid, despite a 4-12 season had no business being fired from PHL, same with Harbs in SF and many other successful coaches throughout the league for really stupid reasons--can't forget about Marty getting fired after going 14-2 but losing a playoff game early.

Well the old strategy was to pay one guy in FA and pretend that solved everything. The new strategy is to pay people in FA even tho it solves nothing.

They're another $ > all org and last year was a strong reminder it can always get worse. We could be the browns this year ffs.

In revisionist history, http://www.espn.com/nfl/news/story?id=5121614

The Steelers have begun contacting teams about trading a top-10 pick for Roethlisberger, an NFL source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. The Steelers have called the Rams, 49ers, Raiders, Bills, Jaguars, Seahawks and Browns, the source said.

Rams/Bills insta declined. Rams had #1 pick, Bills had Fitzpatrick. Raiders were done with jarmarcus, browns were the browns.

That's right back when rape was great again, the stealers were trying to unload him and for some reason a bunch of teams with terrible QB's didn't snap it off, b/c why upgrade at the position to win games when pr is far more important.

Of course this reminded me of the 04 draft article about the browns passing on him.
http://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2016/st...passed-big-ben
Cliffs: browns offered 1+2 to get rivahhhs and many in the org loved big ben, but butch overruled b/c he had final say at that time--steelers take him at 11, sniping the bills, who mularkey claims would've picked him at 12.

Roeth is 21-2 against the browns.

Lolololo How many superbowls has Pony Romo been to? How many games has he played the last 2 seasons? Do you even watch the NFL ?

yeah we'll see what happens but texans under seems solid if they get Romo. Hasn't played since 2014 and had the best OL/running game in the league that year.

Between him and getting Watt back feels like they will be overrated going into season. Indy, Tenn should be better and Jville can't be worse.

He resigned Doyle and has only spent modestly while targeting the Pass Rush, which is ahead of even OLine for highest need. Yeah, he's already so far ahead of Grigson they aren't on the same scale.

That said, the Colts have a ton of free cash and a solid DB and/or OL would've made a big impact. Bouye was likely too much money for the uncertainty, but not grabbing a guy like Lang seems wrong.

They did let Poe's hurt ass leave Indy without a massive deal, so that's solid. Something tells me someone's going to overspend on him.
