I understand it's a disease...that's why I think stopping completely would be necessary because drinking in moderation would have to be challenging. Obviously not easy.

Patriots expected to resign Duron Harmon.

And they let Connor Barwin go. Whoever signs him is getting a hell of a deal.

Really don't understand the Pats going after Cooks, especially if it involves Butler. They've proven they can win with randos at WR

Was he playing out of position/not being used correctly last season?

usually the worst thing to happen in offseason is drafting a really big bust or signing a really overpaid free agent.

Washington's dysfunction is firing on all cylinders. GM AWOL, QB wanting trade, WR's getting the hell out of there.

but they are also much better with non randos! The offense lost a lot when Gronk went down. and Randy Moss + Brady was prettay pretty good

(obv I'm not saying Cooks = Moss)

he's pretty overrated, actually. Gets confused in non-man coverage, shies away from hits, not a good tackler.

The whole deal with Cooks' teammates potentially hating him makes me a little gunshy on this.

The fact that he's a full year younger than Malcolm Mitchell is pretty impressive. Edelman's almost 31 and has taken a billion hits. Seems like a deep draft class at WR, but obviously other than one season of Mitchell the Patriots haven't done too well there. May just be bad luck of course.

Hard not to want to keep Malcolm Butler in NE for life. He's one guy that it's hard to be rational about moving. Chandler Jones, Collins, Hightower, whatever.

Jags Defense gonna be pretty good assuming coordinator competence.

Eagles strategy seems to be going after everyone PFF hates.

greg robinson finally hitting the bench with rams signing whitworth. Weird to sign an old guy since they aren't a contender but w/e.

They'll try Robinson at guard. I can't believe taking a left tackle who didn't know how to pass block at #2 overall simply because he was big and ran a good 40 didn't work out.

continuing lolskins news

Quote:
According to “a source with knowledge of the Redskins’ decision,” Cousins’ camp offered the Redskins a “three-year deal last February worth $19.5 [million] a year with significant guarantees.” That offer was still on the table in July.
Quote:
The handling of Cousins and his contract also represented an area of disagreement. McCloughan had told people around the league that if he had full control, the Redskins would have signed the quarterback to a multiyear contract in 2016, avoiding the use of two straight franchise tags with long-term resolution. That angered Allen, who in turn started blaming his general manager in league circles for all of the negative media leaks about Cousins. Allen publicly has taken an “all in” approach on the quarterback. But sources say he is still hesitant to give the quarterback a lucrative multiyear deal.

Greg Robinson moving to Guard apparently. Giving a 35yr old LT a 3yr deal right now doesn't seem that smart?

Trying to give Goff a chance.

Not like they had a gun to their head to pick there either, passed on the Watkins trade package for him.

Guaranteed money is low. They can walk away after this season if he flatlines.

Cowboys either eat $19.6m dead cap by taking it all on this year by regular cut or by trading, or they label Romo a post June 1st cut & take $9.8m dead money this year & $9.8m dead money next year. The way the Cowboys push cap hits into the future on all their longer contracts, I'm sure they could restructure a couple extra guys to make up for the difference if they got a good offer.

Nice. I remember thinking Romo was a lock to be a June 1st cut but here we go I guess.

was hoping the bengals would resign Whit for one more year, guess he couldn't pass up multi-year deal. anyone know who the bengals are looking at? They would usually always resign their studs, especially one as young as zeitler.

Zeitler to Browns 5/$60m

Campbell to Jaguars 4/$60m

S Cyprien to Titans, DT Chris Baker probably to Bucs, TE Dion Sims probably to Bears.
