Just much easier to sell a rebrand at the same time as a move

Pfffff what do you know about advertising?

& I know, it was just my way of digging at them for playing in a 30k seat stadium.

I don't mind the move to the smaller stadium tbh.

I mean, of course it's lolworthy in the most obvious size regard, but at least they'll fill it and they should be able to create a decent fan experience and atmosphere.

much better than only half filling a bigger (older) stadium

It would be amazing if the Chargers managed to get a game blacked out if they can't sell out.

People in Vegas now are all like well if the Chargers can play in a 30k seat stadium, why can't the Raiders come here now & play at Sam Boyd (UNLV's 40k seat stadium)?

Is mostly only a dumb question because the stadium & infrastructure suck.

6 coaching vacancies and 5 are filled by coordinators or interims of teams that missed the playoffs and a terrible D.C. of a terrible playoff team

Rams D could end up legit terrifying. An offense that can get into the low 20s per game might be good enough to playoff.

is elway the most overrated exec in football? letting arguably the GOAT DC leave for a lateral move, hiring a DC of a defense that consistently underperformed relative to its talent level as HC, got bailed out of what would have been a terrible signing of brock by the Texans being worse, signed Sanchez as a potential replacement and promptly cut him, tried to trade for an extend kaep and got bailed out of that too

It's hard to fault teams for dubious QB moves when there's never more than 2-3 decent ones in any draft, and anyone who's any good at all almost never hits the open market.

Imagine if Peyton's doctors were less competent and he came to Denver as a walking noodle arm. Would be a hilarious string of failures for Elway. If Denver hadn't cheated to win those super bowls while he was a player he wouldn't even be relevant.

Pretty brutal day for the Redskins front office, Wade was the #1 choice for DC, and imo McVay is a lot of the reason Cousins is successful (and why I think he is overrated). There's multiple guys open every play but Cousins rarely throws to anyone besides the primary receiver.

He was HC of a viking team that had one of the worst Ds itl. He is very vanilla cover 2 and your front 4 transparently rushes more often than not. Was most positively known for not being Childress.

Two NFL personnel directors and one NFL general manager each predicted this week, after Monday night's national championship win, that Watson has pushed himself into the top half of the first round. One predicted: "Cleveland could take him at No. 1 -- look who's coaching them." Another said Watson would be a top-five pick, while the third was supremely confident that Watson would go within the top 10.

"All I'm saying is this," one personnel director said this week, "if [Robert Griffin III] and Vince Young and Marcus Mariota can go in the top couple of picks, there's no question Deshaun Watson can. He led his team against Alabama, one of the best defenses we've seen in a long time. He's done a ton of winning since he's been at Clemson. Absolutely do I think someone can take him in the top 10.
If a black, a black, and a Samoan (which might as well be black because it isn't white) could go that high, a black could go #1, i mean the coach is a black

I added another 27-year-old guy to your list.

That's the now list; long-term probably move JW/MM over Russell, although maybe not given that QBs generally peak a little later than most positions.

None of htem would take Watson till round 3 four days ago despite being the best QB right now by far in this draft. Watson's mobility is overrated/passing ability is underrated purely due to his race.

I mean let's just compare for a second here, UNC was worse this year than last with the same guys with a QB nobody drafted (you can guess his race). ND was terrible. Instead those guys can do nothing wrong and we're gonna slam the guy who torched alabama twice and won a ton of games.*

*JFF also torched alabama twice. Bama D is great at destroying terrible QB's but the narrative isn't here, at first I thought jeff Fisher got a new job already coaching their defense in the title game.

The doubters have some points, but the narrative is bizarre simply because he's clearly a better QB right now than everyone else in this draft.

It's still early nath, there's always some random late riser white guy--where were lynch/wentz/goff at this point last year?.

I think Josh Allen was gonna be the undeserving riser, but he went back to school.

Brad Kaaya seems like a lock to be overdrafted; he's not white but he fits the "traditional pocket passer" mold and didn't perform as well as he should have.

Chad Kelly would have been insanely overdrafted but you add an ACL tear to being a petulant and violent a-hole off the field and that's gonna concern teams.

I'm going on the record now as being a huge fan of Pat Mahomes. I hope he goes to a team that can develop him right-- I see a lot of similarities in him to where Brett Favre was as a prospect.

Looking back at some mock drafts from January, Goff seems to have always been considered a near-top pick (both of these mocks send him to the Browns at 2), while Wentz and Lynch were potential first-rounders, although Wentz rising as high as he did was not something seen at the time (and how could it have been, given that he had like 400 passing attempts in college):

Every offseason I get excited that this might actually be the year the Rams do something but not holding my breath on 2017. Interesting to see what McVay makes of Goff. Altho we are short of draft picks we do have decent cap space apparently so hoping we can add some offensive muscle!
