Will have a new respect for Dungy and/or Peyton if this is true.

Basically no chance tho, the rest of the league doesn't sit on this. 32 can keep a secret if 31 are dead

Edit: Bah, looks like they're just talking about trying to get signals from past teammates or signs being sent in during the game. That's not even illegal. Dungy remains a pussy

Dungy basically said everyone does it and pointed out examples of where it went wrong for opposing teams doing it to him (chicago in super bowl, bruce arians in pit) and also admitted in 91--Deberg told them they had the same signals from when he was there 8 years ago so they knew every play and they still lost 28-14.

It's not against the rules either. Well unless you did it like the pats did.

Pretty much agree. It should be a non-story.

But it's tony dungy. So lol at him.

Packers released James Starks and Sam Shields. Neither was unexpected, as both have had injury problems. Shields, in particular, is very unfortunate, as he was becoming a heck of a CB but has missed a ton of time - including all of this season - because of concussions. He's going to try to find a job, but I kind of hope he doesn't. When you miss an entire season with a head injury, you need to start thinking about life.

Browns/49ers probably aren't gonna be able to blow the $ again. Pats have 65M to blow much less a ton of other teams. Only DAL and partially KC/PHI have cap issues. Jets just have to cut a bunch of overpaid vets.

congrats saints, for what will probably not even last a week of FA, you aren't in cap hell anymore!

It's pretty amazing that the #25 team (Giants) has $25M+ in cap space and ten teams have $50M+. Lol Jets for being the only other team over the cap besides the Cowboys.

Weren't the Saints way deep in cap hell last year?

Browns gonna go ape**** during free agency or does DePodesta have a moneyball-esque plan laid out?

Browns will do nothing in FA. Maybe add some OL help so next QB doesn't die.

Mostly agree but think of it another way...ATL @ NE like week 8/November sweeps as that Pats vs Manning slot works. Whereas vs Houston maybe only opening night works as a big game. Some of the novelty/luster of Jimmy G starting will be gone a few months into the season.

That is why I could see it being Houston if that deal happened.

Pats have tons of FA's, a few of them are surely getting overpaid. Will be interesting to see if the vets like Branch, Long, Bennett are willing to take hometown discounts.

Someone like Logan Ryan seems like a lock to get paid by another team and leave. Think they will pay Butler and probably tag Hightower.

We have holes at linebacker and guard; who's the most overrated free agent at each position?

Considering DePodesta was the assistant GM of the literal Moneyball team, I'm guessing the latter.

Saints right now have a very good LT, a good RT, and a good LT. And zero good guards. lol.

I liked some of the UDFAs last year but I'm not willing to call guys who sat on the practice squad all year "good" yet.

Looks like there are guards out there in FA

LB FA group is rather poor, hightower is the name.

Because it takes more than a year to understand a NFL offense and he doesn't want to start over with a rook in an org that doesn't give coaches time to win?

edit--I wouldn't either, but that's the case I guess.

Years ago this forum argued Schaub and Ryan were interchangeable. Once again, ahead of our times.

I guess nobody will address the fact that a 39 year old athlete just had a career year, but sure it's cause he doesn't eat tomatoes.

Just a cover for the RCA Dome piped in crowd noise.

And just constantly cheating with paying officials off with hookers and blow to not call OPI.

Looks like Palmer is definitely back for another year. Probably their best option to try to make a run this year.

It also looks like DJ's knee is coming along.
