vince young also said ryan Fitzpatrick is garbage so he's 2 for 2 in his recent takes.

That matches his career high for consecutive accurate targets.

You must not be familiar with the NFL schedule. It's pretty simple.

1) You play all the teams in your division twice (6 games)
2) You play all the teams in your conference that finished the same place as you once (3 games)--there are a list of tie breakers for play but essentially this is it
3) You play another division in the other conference in a rotating fashion so that you play every other division in a conference once every 4 years (4 games)
4) You play another division in your conference in the same manner as 3 but you don't count the game from #2 twice (3 games)

And that's your NFL schedule every year.

So on the last day of the schedule (week 17) you can basically figure out your schedule but not the order and the days (Thurs/Sun/Mon). Just look at the teams you played 4 seasons ago before it to determine which divisions outside your own you will be playing that year.

Now the home/away splits for 2-4 are determined in some way although I know it's not always fair and I can remember games especially with category 2 where 1 teams hosts a few years in a row.

Let's look at some numbers and see if we can figure out why Vince Young kept getting benched for Kerry Collins:

If that doesn't do it for you, how about DVOA?

VY's stats don't seem too bad. What are we missing? Other than a low completion % his stats don't look bad. He won 60% of his games although 5-6 his last 2 years partially starting.

This guy gets it. From QBWINZ to DVOA, there isn't a single stat that suggests Collins was better than Young in those two years.

Hey, you might enjoy this about Cam Newton:

I was just taking a shot at Vince for laughs. I supported Vince over Kerry Collins back in the day even though it seemed like a mystery at times how Vince managed to win games. I can't describe Jeff Fisher properly because the profanity filter won't allow it.

Cam is extremely accurate on throws where he gets to go full speed. He still struggles pretty badly on accuracy when touch is required. His biggest problem isn't accuracy but standing around too long in the pocket hoping his crappy offensive line can protect him long enough for someone to get open. Mike Shula has done nothing to improve Cam in this area and is probably making the problem worse. Carolina virtually never calls a roll out pass/run option play. It's either a designed run or a designed full drop back pocket pass with long developing routes.

WTF, fire everyone

I seem to hate a lot of things but whenever I see or read anything about Jeff fisher he seems to catapult to the top of my most hated list. What an absolute ****ing theif he is.

That VY stuff seems so peculiar it has to be true. Then you realize fisher is a hilbilly jackass and it leaves no doubt.

The Collins VY stats are funny looking at them now. It was obvious then and it's even more bizarre now.

I'm just reflecting more so in how he never got a shot after his stay in Philly. Seems weird. Did he get blacklisted? Is he just lazy/hated/dumb?

Probably related to how Josh Freeman went from being a 22-year-old QB with a 25 TD / 6 INT season to out of the league at 26.
