Yeah, no way the Bills grab Conley now, due to McCoach saying he wants high-character guys first.

Nath, I see you both have Watson and Mahomes pretty high...and with 1st round grades...are you really that high on them both? Are they instant starts?

Interesting article on how teams get real draft intel

One of the reasons mock drafts and the entire draft analyst industry garners chuckles from those still inside the business is because of how fruitless the pursuit really is.

Only a few people in each organization are privy to the complete book on a player -- and all 32 teams might have different chapters and footnotes on the same person. The Patriots' director of player personnel, Nick Caserio, said the team only has draftable grades on 50-75 players in this year's class. The Browns' personnel head, Andrew Berry, said Cleveland has 175 draftable players. The Cardinals have roughly 120.

Appreciate the takes of vix's board, garrett 6th, hooker rd 2 among others.

The Cowboys?

Maybe you should just walk back this entire statement.
It's pretty obvious what I meant, your decision to get mad and be a numbnuts notwithstanding.

Yeah, I mean, I think anyone in the top 10 who needs a QB shouldn't hesitate to take either. I think you could start them day one, albeit with some growing pains (which is normal for any rookie). Watson might be better served playing right away if you don't mind that he'll throw a ton of interceptions early as he figure what chances he can and can't take. Mahomes you want to work on his footwork and tendency to break the pocket too soon, but he has so much arm talent and the ability to deliver accurate throws from any position, at every distance, on the move. Either way, both of them are mentally capable of it, handled a ton of pre-snap responsibility, and read coverages / went through multiple reads. (Trubisky, actually, might have run the simplest offense of the top four.)

Yeah, with my board I'm actually trying to get more of a consensus between film, analytics, and metrics, and that includes taking some outside opinions. vix I think much more concerns himself with just his own observations from film. I don't watch as much film as I'd like to, but when I can't I read the opinions of people who actually break it down and show what they're talking about in their reports. I'm trying to incorporate everything I can into figuring out the most accurate picture based on what we can observe and measure.

after not putting Aaron Donald first in 14, I'm not doing **** other than my own opinion on a board if I ever bother with that again.

lol @ everyone who thought the browns weren't gonna **** it up.

Though I did say it, if they liked trubisky *that* far ahead of everyone else they probably couldn't risk it. I just don't believe that evaluation is correct but we'll see.

That said, if he blows it's on him, Hue, OL is pretty good or better except erving, RB/WR are at least serviceable, barnridge.

Well the other way is like, garrett then trading down for davis webb, also hilarious.

Seems pretty clear the Browns are going to take Garrett, consider trading up for Trubisky, & if that doesn't work, consider trading down. Tea leaves & such.

If Browns don't trade I think it will be Garrett.

Browns want to trade down from 1. 49ers want to trade down from 2. Somebody else wants to move up for Trubustsky. Browns want the trade to go through them.

Just my guess.

Bob McGinn is mocking Trubisky #1 to the Browns and saying it's Jimmy Haslam's call.

Because of course this dumbass is going to interfere with the work of the people he pays and **** things up for them. Again.

That 13 draft was incredible NFL scouting evaluation failure, 1 pro bowler in top 12 picks. Picks 18-31 had 8. the last one (frederick) was considered a huge reach.
The best OT that year went undrafted in a 3 of the top 4 picks being OT class.

Draft day becomes real life 2 years later, browns have #1 pick, browns GM has Myles garrett no matter what written down, owner intervenes wants to make splash with QB.

falcs RT

there are no analytics that say "draft trubisky #1 overall" that I'm aware of. Check the analytics, throw them in the trash and do what the homeless guy says.

I don't think Schrader is better than Armstead or Bakhtiari, maybe not Lane Johnson either.

That's what basically everybody is saying....which must make it wrong if those guys are any good at all. Would be so disappointing if they are so leaky that the prediction of every talking head is what actually happens

Lots of talking heads are saying other things, as shown in the last few posts before mine.

I agree that if they have a QB target who isn't Trubisky & my post is true about any other QB target, it looks better for them.

It's honestly not particularly damaging even if Trubisky is their guy, though, unless they're actually desperate to get him or thought they could get him at 12.

Other teams aren't going to be like zomg the Browns want Trubisky, we don't like him, but we better draft him! & if the plan is to move up if the price is right to do so, it's a moving target for another interested team to try to get there anyway.

But yeah, leaks are bad.
