Yeah, maybe it's splitting hairs, but when I think "stellar" I think "top-tier athleticism, full out." The guys who get to that 99% SPARQ box or close to it. "Plus" is good, but I wouldn't describe it that way. And like I said I try not to overweight it too much except in cases where athleticism really matters (like pass rusher), where I have a smaller school prospect where their ability to compete at the next level matters (Melifonwu: Good Combine; Lorenzo Jerome: Bad Combine), or when someone just has a really really bad one, like bottom 10% by SPARQ (so far of possible legit prospects this year I can only think of Dalvin Cook and Charles Harris).

Kiper thinks Mixon may be the best RB prospect in the draft. Obviously, he has issues. Could go late first though according to Mel. Peoples' thoughts re:Mixon???

I think he's very talented, I think what he did was abominable, I think that if there was no video then we wouldn't even be talking about him (we're not talking about Dalvin Cook, Dede Westbrook, or even Jourdan Lewis), and if I were running a team I would be trying to evaluate whether this was a one-time incident or indicative of a broader pattern of behavior.

I currently have him as RB4 with my best attempt to factor talent with risk.

He really could go anywhere from late-first to undrafted. I suspect ROG would put pressure on teams not to draft him, and since ROG runs a kangaroo court he can just do **** like take away draft picks on a whim.

The situation RB get drafted into can make average RB look great and great RB look average. If Mixon gets drafted by Tennessee we might not see much from him. If he gets drafted by GB he could be big right away.

Tennessee was 3rd in rushing last season, led by DeMarco Murray who was 3rd in rushing

I'd grade him late 1st round. Where would I take him depends on how he fits my scheme.

Incoming hot take.

If McCaffery is paired with an OC/HC that utilizes his skills then he will be best RB in this class.

I tried to contain as few contingencies as possible.

Well It's true.

Who's the better RB Gurley or Freeman? Here's a hint. It's not close.

Funny you would mention those two. I think they are closer than Gurley and Freeman.

Waterwolves, post your top 50 prospects.

Next year we can compare your list with Nath's and assign plaudits as appropriate.

Still waiting for that evidence Michael Thomas will suddenly be bad after putting up a top-10 all-time rookie season at his position.

The most enlightening article I've read all offseason is how few routes wrs truly neer to be good at.

It's complete Bull**** that a wr needs to be able yo excel at at "full route tree".

The saints maximized Thomas' abilities and have at HOG qb.

Wat.

Titans have an elite running game (Murray and D. Henry) so they would never draft him. If Mixon somehow became the Titans feature back, he would do well as their O-Line is very good. Not sure what point you are trying to make.

He meant that as a 3rd RB he gets less playing time than as a starting RB.

My point was RB are more situationally dependent than other positions. Gurley is a great example of that. He's an elite RB but the situation is terrible around him and he struggled last year. If Mixon went to the Titans he would struggle to get playing time.

When I watch Mixon play I see a poor man's David Johnson. That's not as big of a knock as it sounds. There is only one David Johnson in the NFL. He has a similar skill set to David Johnson but he's not the freak athlete DJ is. We saw that at his pro day and you see that on the field.

Right now factoring in the off the field risk (which is significant with Mixon) and his Pro day numbers which were good he's 3rd or 4th in my RB rankings right now.

When we see where all these guys go the rankings will change though......

My choices for the Bills at #10, in order of preference:

1. Trade down and pick up another 2nd round pick.
2. Reuben Foster
3. Marshawn Lattimore
4. Jamal Adams
5. Malik Hooker
6. Corey Davis
7. Mike Williams
8. Haason Reddick
9. O.J. Howard
10. Desean Watson

I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but most people talking about the draft are trying to evaluate how good players will be in the NFL, not how they will produce in fantasy football
